We've been here a couple of times, first time giving it the benefit of the doubt, second time around confirmed we won't be going back.Chips seemed a bit underdone and were crunchy inside. Batter is thick and rock solid, with a really weird taste to it, not the "traditional" style batter you might expect.Restaurant is really nice inside, although tables and floor in seating areas looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the night before and were riddled in bits of other peoples food/mess.Can't fault the service, was friendly and fast on both occasions.

Been here quite a few times and always enjoyed the food. Along with fish & chips, there's a good range of veggie options. There is a few tables inside, to eat in. Today, daughter and I shared the large cheesy chips and it was a very generous portion. Husband enjoyed his cod & chips, with son having the veggie burger.

It's always awesome. We use Catch regularly as the GF food is always excellent. The portions are generous and well priced and the staff are friendly and chatty.

Chips were overcooked but not crisp. No tempura. Onion rings were poor. Sausage was OK. Used to be good. Unlikely to return.

Not as good as it used to be, ordered today chips were over cooked and not a lot of them, my husbands Cod was overcooked and flat so much batter, he said was tasteless. My pie was mostly pastry and my gravy was very thick and clumpy. Won’t be going back it’s a shame because they used to be good.

Fabulous fish and chips by the river.I’m generally not a fan of fish and chips at the seaside - but we stumbled on this place on a November Monday lunchtime when everything else was closed and I reluctantly went along with it. Well I needn’t have worried - it was the best freshly cooked fish and chips I’ve had in 20-30 years. Perfect.

Visited today with my family ....on entering noticed 1 other family of 3 sat at table and no-one waiting for take away .....ordered cod and chips x 2 , battered sausage and chips , kids sausage and chips , chips and gravy and 5 soft drinks ...Bill came to £49 ....sat at table that needed wiping with serviette ...waited about 10 minutes for food to be ready which was OK but heard other people who ordered after us get their food first .....considering restaurant is right near a fresh fish outlet this was not reflected in the fish meals we had ....and even though we ordered cod neither my partner or I thought it tasted like cod - my partner who is a fisherman said it was more likely to be whiting ...the batter was really crispy and hard in places and alot of the chips were raw in the middle .....whilst we appreciate that if busy having time to wipe tables and change bins takes a back seat , this definitely wasn't the case today , not busy at all ...

Lovely greeting asked if could eat in, guy said yes with a smile, tables were grubby, cleaned ourselves with a napkin! Bin was overflowing, place was empty so 2 guys could of come out from behind counter and cleaned up! FISH and CHIPS though were excellent, crispy chips, fish white with nice thin crispy batter, mushy peas were yuk, tartar sauce not homemade! Would I go back YES just cleanup a bit!!!

The fish was not fresh as I would expect at it is right next door to Looe’s fish auction. The chips were not cooked enough and were soggy and not crispy like they should be. Anyway it was a real shame as I know they want you to come back again and again.

We have been here many times over the years and it is still the best chip shop in Looe. The fish tastes beautiful and the batter is perfect, all freshly cooked on ordering. The curry sauce is the best we've ever tasted. Dogs are allowed inside. Definitely recommend

Terrible, tasteless fish & dry spongy chips. We ordered 2 large haddock & 1 large chips. We expected lovely fresh fish & chips. The premises is next to the fish market on the quay. We got the opposite. The fish was without doubt frozen. It cost £26 and ended up in the bin. We won’t be back. Avoid at all costs.

Fish and chip takeaway dinner on Saturday night. Really great fish, some of the best I’ve ever had. Mushy peas nice too. Chips were ok, nothing special. I would note though that a large chips is definitely enough for 3+ people, we were advised by the staff member that for 3 they’d suggest a large and a regular chips, which ended up being an insane amount of chips and a lot of waste!!
