Visited during our visit to Newquay after seeing such brilliant reviews and would definitely recommend.Food was delicious, filling and unique. Service was excellent and it was great to hear about the courses direct from the chef. Couldn't fault it. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

We were treated to the taster menu with recommended wines to accompany the individual dishes. I'm not normally a white wine drinker but it was outstanding how the food really enhanced the carefully chosen red and white wines. It was really a whole new wine experience as well as an amazing evening of tasty and imaginitive triumphs. Some of the dishes were inspired by personal experiences from Andrew's childhood and obviously meant a lot to him and you could obviously tell by the meticulous and stunning presentation. Another level! Will be sure to visit his restaurant in its new amazing location at Lusty Glaze, the slightest excuse we have.

We absolutely loved our evening at Hartleys. The food was amazing, Andrew Durham is heading for a Michelin star, without a doubt. Superb precision cooking, with outstanding flavours and true inventiveness. The venue is unique, a converted shipping container in a car park, but inside you wouldn't know, it's intimate, personal, quirky, and very few tables. We got lucky, and on the night we were there our table of 4 had the place to ourselves, which meant we got Chef Andrew's full attention, which was delightful. One of our party has coeliac disease, and Andrew's care and attention to detail around this was exemplary, and hugely appreciated. It is often the case with tasting menus that there are one or two courses which don't hit the mark, not the case here at all, every single course was superb. We are so very lucky that this restaurant has opened on our doorstep, and would encourage all Newquay foodies to head there asap, as we need to support this new venture as enthusiastically and frequently as possible to make sure it is sustainable and stays open! Can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to return!

Amazing food. Small intimate venue in converted shipping containers on a business park but don't let this put you off as just adds to the experience. Staff are great and Andrew the chef/owner personally describes each of the 8 courses on the sampler menu. Only recently opened so too early for any awards but only a matter of time, so get in while you can.

We visited Hartleys during our holiday to Cornwall. It’s only been open for 3 weeks and is a very intimate dining experience with only 6 small tables. We had the 8-course tasting menu, one vegetarian and one normal, and each course was a work of art and absolute delight. The service was exemplary, and the chef hand-delivered most plates to our table with a description of the dish and produce. My mum was in awe of the lamb with jus and the Tom Yum soup, and my meal was the tastiest I’ve had while being vegetarian. We would highly recommend this restaurant and hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
