Today we went to get the carvery and had a takeaway version, I was pleasantly surprised that you get the same amount in a takeaway as you can on a plate, its still the same help yourself and then they plate the meat, Yorkshire and stuffing and all the rest is what you help your self too, veges, spuds, cauliflower cheese xtra gravy comes in a tub but you can pour it over your food if you want to but the neat it so juicy anyway!!!! Beautiful totally outdone yourselves, great job xx love this place xFood & drinks: Woooooooow, their food is woooooow, succulent, moist, hot, juicy, flavourful, packed full of vibrant colours, crispy, moist yuuuuuummmmmy!!!

I and my partner cannot rate this hotel/pub highly enough, it's the second time we've stayed at the Griffin and just like 2 years ago everything was absolutely excellent, the food was spot on with a breakfast that sets you up for the day and very friendly and helpful staff, ok the car parks a little on the small side but we managed to park everytime we came back from our daily jaunt in and around Cornwall so obviously happy times on that account, so anyway to end our review we only say that we would seriously recommend the Griffin Inn to everybody we know 10/10 from Stuart and Laura.

Take away roasts in the summer are incredibleGreat hearty food ? and in and out easily.This afternoon first time dinning in for roast and for a restricted diet like mine it was amazing.Chef and staff all very accommodating and the fruit crumble (gluten free) and custard blew my mind....Well done to all involved ? I hardly ever get to eat pies or crumble now since my operation so very spoilt and will likely be back next week for more of the same. ?????Food & drinks: I have a restricted diet due to surgery but nothing was too much trouble and made to feel normal as opposed to one "of those picky eaters" ?

Let me start firstly by saying the server was amazing very attentive and friendly. The food however was awful not as menu described and couldn’t cater to a seafood or fish allergy. All over cooked wasn’t worth the £60

Feels like a local pub with amazing food. I had the turf and surf and I have to say, it was excellent! This is beyond your normal standard pub grub, I was pleasently surprised ?Food & drinks: The food tastes fresh and as though the chef cares what they're doing.
