We went to this restaurant on the middle day of our holiday, we were a large group of 11, 4 adults, 7 children, we hadn't booked anywhere to eat out, they fitted us in without any issue at all, the staff were very accommodating, and couldn't do more for us, the food was all fantastic, came out at the same time and was very hot, we didn't have a bad meal out of the 11 we ordered, it was all very reasonably price and great sized portions too.One last thing, the Portuguese custard tarts were probably the best I've ever had.

I was disappointed with the lamb chops I was served. As soon as the waiter put it on the table smelled gone off. Rotten smell. Can you imagine eaten that. No not me. I love my food when it is fresh. I didn't make a big deal of it but I informed the waiter and the owner she did apologise and said I won't be charged for the food but when I see my bill it was charged. Not a good experience. I wont be going back again.

Tried to make a booking for Friday 22 September. Website said fully booked so tried Saturday 23 (bookings only accepted 24 hours before date). Had email confirmation. Made arrangements to get there and cancelled proposed dinner elsewhere with friends. Went to restaurant and found it completely closed (@8pm). They couldn’t even be bothered to let me know. No notice on door or anything. Will never go again. Waste of my time and effort.

This was an amazing food experience. We were a group of 7 adult females. We all ordered something different. All of our dishes tasted wonderful. I had seafood rice which was gorgeous. The owner tried to get us a taxi (Saturday night) to no avail. She drove us back to our accommodation. Wonderful food, and people. Bernadette, Ireland.

We a regular visitors to portugese restaurants and Portugal so can gauge the food well. The food It's was average this was the best bit of the experience. Our order was messed up and when you have to watch your wife eat her dinner before yours I'm sorry but that is a total fail the whole experience after that is completely spoilt no compensation offered.. After which we was even over charged for food we had ordered which the waiter did rectify but it was more salt in the wound. Its a great looking restaurant I just think the staff let the venue down on our visit. We're locals not tourists and won't be back I'm afraid

We visited this restaurant on our family holiday and we loved it! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. When we return to Cornwall, we will definitely visit again! P.s the firewater was cherry on top ??. Highly recommended ??Kid-friendliness: They were so lovely to our girls, they had lots of sweets which kept them happy ❤️

Just had yet another absolutely amazing meal here! The staff are always wonderfully helpful and fun, the food is lush and the complimentary pastelas de natas where the best I’ve ever tried, probably because they came with a little pot of cinnamon which I have never tried with them before, Definitely something I will be seeking out on my next trip to Portugal and definitely a restaurant that we will continue to frequent! A perfect piece of heaven that’s always makes me feel like I’m on holiday every time we go there! To anyone who likes seafood or steak this is the perfect restaurant. The food was beautifully done and the octopus was spectacular. Everyone on the table finished their food and was more than stuffed. We were also given complimentary custard tarts which were too good to refuse. Overall lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Worth a visit.

Fancied something different whilst on holidays in Newquay. This place does not stand out from the outside primarily due to the location, but get inside and it is very inviting. Seemed a bit short staffed and chaotic, but this somehow added to the ambiance. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. The prices are as expected, but the food is delicious and with good portions and every one of our party was well impressed. The complimentary port at the end of the night was an exceptional touch - something that reminds us well of our various continental trips. In fact, enjoyed it so much, we went back two days later to see if it was a one off, and was not disappointed. Bit of a wait to get it but after trying other items from the menu, we all had nothing but praise for the chef and staff. We were even offered two doses of the complimentary port (one a bit stronger), and all went down a treat. The manager is a pleasant lady and we can hear her shouting instructions to the team, which again added to the feel of the place. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended. Try it, you might like it to.

Food was ok, shame we didn’t get to finish! We were seated next to a table of 16 drunken disrespectful idiots that were all trying to outspeak each other with pretty foul language! It was cringeworthy! We had no choice but to pay and leave!! The understanding head tilt from the owner made up for it though, not!!!! I guess a table of 16 means more to them than our table of 2! Before you sit down, pay attention to the sizes of the tables around you, trust me.

Food was good. But had to wait some time for it.The beef flat rib was so good! Really enjoyed that.But my husband’s grilled chicken was dry and tough.But sweet restaurant and a cute experience!

Poor Service and Poor Food. Ordered mushrooms as starter and mixed grill. Initially they only gave us 1 mushroom so we had to wait even longer for the second to come after struggling to get service in the first place. Rice was extremely oily, to the point to you could see it running across the plate. The only edible thing was the pork steak and spicy sausage, which in all fairness were nice - everything else was extremely over cooked and difficult to cut, let alone eat; including the chicken which was extremely dry, and the pineapple which was more than burnt. No fault on the drinks though. Overall very disappointed as was thoroughly looking forward to the sound of the food. We did also see the people next to us leave after barely touching their food too. Ps. Owner is highly aggressive and staff speak poor English.
