Used to be the Blue Tomato now it’s Four Boys. Nice drinks, nice food but the waitress needs to go on a ‘Customer Service’ course, quite an objectionable person.

The Blue Tomato Cafe at Rock is permanently closed (from Feb 2023). It states this on the website (but they have retained the name and website and are opening different businesses outside of Rock). Four Boys, incorrectly shown on Google maps as next door to the Blue Tomato (as of today), actually replaced it and opened Easter weekend (2023).

Possibly the best bacon and egg roll I've ever eaten, definitely with the best view! Could have easily stayed till lunchtime!

Ferry to Rock and gorgeous white sandy estuary, you can walk a long way and the sea is safe for kids

Super friendly staff. They were great with all my allergies! Delicious food and the best coffee. Came on the last day of our holiday, wish we had come sooner! Incredible crab Benedict.

Visited this cafe with friends on a warm but wet winter weekend, what a beautiful location overlooking the Camel Estuary and Padstow, we sat in the conservatory and enjoyed a delicious breakfast pre-walk rest before jumping on a ferry.. Lovely venue in a wonderful location, great food delivered swiftly, by friendly and accommodating service team, thanks Blue Tomato..

Every time we visit Cornwall, we take a trip to beautiful Rock beach and finish our dog walk with tasty food at the Blue Tomato. We (me and a big, exuberant chocolate lab!) were welcomed in the BT with smiles, by a very friendly chap. The service was excellent and so was the food, as it always is. I had the Garden Burger which was lovely. My boyfriend had the Dirty Chilli Fries. The chilli tasted insane! I’ll be having this next time….We’ve had the fries countless times. They are always delicious and you get loads. With reference to the rude, Sept Review ‘Rock Off’, the fries are NOTHING like MacDonalds fries, so please don’t let that review, put you off visiting the BT because you won’t be disappointed. As regards that review, I was actually torn between the fish n chips (£19.00) and the Garden Burger, but the only reason I had the burger was because I wanted something a bit lighter-it was nothing to do with the price. On another day, I will definitely be having the fish n chips because I know it will be the best fish n chips! We have always had a fantastic meal, whenever we’ve eaten here over the years. Side note: I love the bathroom wall paper ?

Came in for breakfast, service was fast, and a lovely veggie breakfast - including fried bread and two eggs, very good value too

Slightly disappointed to find that the lunch menu is mainly burgers and tapas and that the usual selection of sandwiches has gone. The sandwich we did have (from the specials board) was nice but the generously sliced bread was a thin slice, like you would get from a packet of ready sliced (not what you expect for a £19 sandwich). Disappointed to find only skinny fries on the menu now, no chunky chips anymore ?One of my favourites from the breakfast menu is also gone, the focaccia with avocado and feta. We’ve been Coming here for around 20 years and it’s the first time we’ve not been so happy with the variety of food on offer. I hope the items we loved will make it back onto the menu. Not saying this to put the café down, but because we love it so much, we want to give genuine feedback, we hope they’re listening!

the “12 inches of pleasure” hot chocolate drink is actually measured at 9.843 inches! will never be coming back here.
