We had heard how good the food was and decided to try it for ourselves. Bringing the dog was no problem. They have a doggy section to the restaurant with great views over the bay. We had the winter specials menu. Starter of prawns and avocado on sourdough. Great combination of our favourite ingredients. Pre-booked for 4 people Saturday lunchtime, the welcome from the Italian manager was great and he couldn’t have been more helpful and lots of fun. After a drink on a lovely sunny terrace, we ventured inside. Our window-facing table was upstairs and the service from our (Maitre De?) was spot on! A surprise reservation for cousin visiting from Canada and being unexpectedly joined by friends who were staying nearby (The Mariners were able to modify the reservation on the day of our visit). On our arrival we had a drink at the bar with no seating free downstairs, we were a little earlier. It wasn’t ideal as there was limited space however we were soon shown to our table.
