My wife and I were fortunate enough to have dinner here the other night. Not only is the food exceptional but the warmth of the welcome from all the staff and the way they interacted with us and with each other in a very busy restaurant creates a briliant atmosphere and conveys that this is a great place to work.We loved the music playlist which all the staff contribute to. It was hard to pick out highlights from the tasting menu but we both loved the beetroot and smoked eel tart and 'All of the pigeon' was delicious. The whole experience was brilliant form start to finish. Thanks to all those amazing people who work there.

Our visit to No.6 was a delight from start to finish. We throughly enjoyed our cocktails in CiCi’s bar before our evening meal. The service throughout the evening was exceptional. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgable and professional. We LOVED that we could see into both the pastry kitchen and the downstairs kitchen. We also loved the fact the chefs bring the dishes out themselves. The little personalised touches made the evening even more special and we would highly recommend visiting

From the moment we stepped through the door it was an absolute joy and delight. Ci Ci’s bar had a delightful person called Tom serving us our pre dinner drinks (he gave permission to use his name) he made up a cocktail based upon my tastes. It was perfect and Tom even took the time to write down the recipe for me! At the allocated time we were escorted down to the restaurant where (do look at the photos) the table was adorned with our personalised menu. I had a birthday card too waiting for me! Very thoughtful. Thank you. Every course and pairing wines (Lauren was our sommelier) were explained to us with wonderful enthusiasm and so very interesting to hear. This was also accompanied by the best music (it could have been our Spotify playlist!) Each member of staff get to pick 10 songs and we get to enjoy listening. Upstairs it is mainly Emma’s choice which is more upbeat. Photos probably don’t do justice to the love, care and attention to each creation that was presented. When we left we got a Goodie bag with treats. Thank you to the No 6 family. I will always remember this day.

Padstow has many well-know restaurants but, in our opinion, it is difficult to beat Paul Ainsworth at No. 6. The menu is exciting and takes you on a journey of great cooking and fabulous flavours. The friendly and well-paced front of house team are a credit to the restaurant. This was our third visit and cannot wait for the fourth!

From initial contact to leaving everything was perfect. Booking was made with ease and a phone call before the evening to check dietary requirements and any special occasions was nice. The evening was wonderful, passionate yet understated friendly staff, incredible food and lovely atmosphere. Its a great experience of food that you would never recreate at home. Enjoyed every single mouthful and every moment.

Outstanding. Fine food. Great staff. Delicious. Tasting menus was balanced and not overwhelming. We skipped the wine pairing, which I am sure was great, and got beautiful red and white recommendations from the sommelier. Only meal I can compare is the French Laundry in Napa Valley which is a three star. Enjoy.

It’s been four years since we visited and last time the menu was à la carte so to come back again for the tasting menu was a real treat for us both, and our entire evening was elevated when we got to speak to Paul whilst having our pre-dinner drink in Cici’s Bar. Incredible! We visited for my dads 70th, we had a private room as there were 6 of us. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, the service, attention to detail and staff were amazing. Can’t fault anything. They were accommodating to dietary requirements of dislikes, which I’ve never experienced a place being so flexible, without compromise on quality of food. The personalised menus were amazing, the wine pairing brilliant, every course delicious and the goody bag we left with for each couple was brilliant. Please go if you’re in Padstow!

This was by far our best culinary experience of a fantastic week in Cornwall. The service and food were exceptional and all the little extras that make this place special, were well received. After a disappointing experience last year I wanted to congratulate the team on rekindling our love of this restaurant. A tribute to great Customer Service last year when our disappointment was dealt with so well, that we never considered not coming back. The evening flowed from course to course, oiled with a great wine tasting and superb service, thank you.

Fabulous lunch experience starting upstairs at CiCi's cocktail bar on a very warm day. The bar has a good atmosphere with a modern cocktail menu. Each drink was served immaculately - we enjoyed two each before lunch! The service ran like clockwork but nothing was rushed, the whole operation ran perfectly with very friendly professional staff. The restaurant was about 50% full. With two choices for some courses we choose the opposite and could experience the taste off all the lunch options. You would expect high quality as a minimum but the combined taste, choice of ingredients and presentation were above my experiences in similar priced restaurants. The attention to detail was like a F1 team, the spec of the table & glass ware was incredible - I was thoroughly impressed with the whole service and menu. Celebrating my sister's 40th. Food, as you might expect, outstanding. Best thing about the experience was the local staff. Everything you would expect from Cornish hospitality. To balance things out for the team upstairs, favourite for me was yesterdays scone, although the apple pie was excellent.
