Always worth writing a review again as it confirms the constently excellent standards of service and food remain. So many place we have been to, standards have slipped for a variety of reasons. Not here. To produce such great food in such a small kitchen is amazing. The consistency when we were there of the staff ( and owners) is exemplary. Our go to place when in PZ.

Lovely food although staff didn’t seem very happy and welcoming, there was a group of 6 of us so maybe that put them off. Don’t know but the food and drink was lovely so deserves a good review for that.

Firstly, yes it's expensive, but the food was great, and the staff friendly with great service. We had a crab sandwich and a ham sandwich with a coke and a beer. £30 was pricey but it was local crab and top notch ham and bread. I was happy to pay that for probably the best sandwiches we've ever

Coffee nice, the cake tasted old and dry, kitchen door was open and could see where we was sitting, cook had flower on his bum ? a little over priced.

There were so many cafes to chose from in Penzance but this one looked great, it looked quirky and there were plenty of people eating in there so we decided on this place. The lady that initially ‘welcomed’ us wasn’t particularly welcoming! But we took a table anyway because again it looked so lovely. We were then served by a lovely young girl who was incredibly friendly. The food took quite a while to come out so my husband asked how long it would take. So this was back speaking to happy Harry again and she still wasn’t very happy. When the food did come out it was absolutely delicious, the presentation was gorgeous so it was well worth the wait. Happy Harry then came up to see if we’d finished. Again, no smile… nothing. It felt like it was a bit of a chore to be honest. So we decided to leave, we were going to see if we could have some cake or something sweet but when you’re met with such unfriendly demeanour it doesn’t make you want to stay. I paid, I was served but the friendly young girl and we left. But we left feeling a bit hard done by. We like to support a local business rather that a costa for example and we felt like we were just not welcome. She really could do with looking at the younger staff and how they were, because they were great. It was such a shame. We won’t be back.

We were in Penzance wanting a spot of lunch and came accross Mr Billy’s, it was such a pleasant surprise, the place is old school with no gimmicks just great service, good food and good quality teas and coffees. All of the food was great, well portioned and flavoursome. Service was attentive but not overbearing, definitely with a visit if you are in the area.

Really nice place, with a great selection of teas that come in a big teapot. I loved the detail of the timer for the brewing time. The coffee was also good! And the prices are reasonable. However the cakes were not as good, and therefore only four starts.

Had an excellent lunch at a reasonable price. Staff efficient friendly and helpful. Will certainly eat there again next time in Penzance.

Had an incredibly lovely coffee stop here. The staff were really friendly and all of our drinks were top notch. Especially the half and half hot chocolate with oat milk. The decor was a little too dark and dated for me, but that's just personal preference. All round would absolutely recommend!

Nice cafe with a great selection of teas. Food was overpriced. £10 for a ham and cheese toasted ciabatta ( that was described as a croque monsieur) is not on. No Bechemel sauce in sight......It was quiet on a Monday lunchtime and felt a bit soulless.Parking: On the street. No parking outside.

Delicious sandwiches and the prettiest salad ever. Service from a charming young man on the brink of an artistic future. We bought some difficult to get loose tea. Mr Billy's is an asset to Pz

Had a lovely homemade pizza and hot chocolate with oat milk. Lovely little cafe and never been there before I will return.Dietary restrictions: Saw gluten free and different milk options on the menus

Came for the range of loose leaf teas on offer, and wasn't disappointed. A good selection of black, green, white, yellow, including pu'er, plus herbal teas and coffee. Also food. But I just got a pot of Orange Pekoe that came with a timer to ensure correct brewing, along with an appropriate cup.Good service and good value
