We came as a group of 11 plus 2 dogs in the off season (mid October). The service was excellent and came with a warm smile and conversation. We were shocked to see this lovely Cornish pub completely empty and stayed for the afternoon for some lovely food and cider (hot chocolate for the kids). The water front inn is the best friendly welcoming pub in Portreath Cornwall, the food is amazing and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Situated right on the sea front with a separate beach out front where you can sit happily and drink while the kids play in the sand, I highly recommend a visit if you are ever in Cornwall

This pub.... Has bags of character. And characters. Yes, it needs a lick of paint, and the private car park is a pain, but it's a memorable gaff without silly 'beach' beer prices.
