I recently ordered a Chicken Balti from Kaarma and asked for it to be extra spicy. They absolutely delivered! The dish was perfectly balanced between rich, savory flavors and an intense heat that was a delightful challenge. Every bite was bursting with authentic spices, making it one of the best curries I’ve ever had.
The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, while the sauce was thick and full of complex layers of flavor. It had just the right amount of spice that gave me the kick I was looking for without overpowering the delicious Balti flavors. Pairing it with their fluffy garlic naan made it a complete meal.

9 Higher Fore St, RedruthAs this was the first time we had eaten in Greg & Lou's, we were not disappointed. We both chose Haddock & Chips, along with one homemade tartare sauce and a curry sauce.
The meals arrived and my pictures don't really do them justice, they were both VERY good sized portions, with beautifully cooked fish with delicious crisp batter. Chips were the best we have had in a long time and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Service was very friendly and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. The restaurant area was very clean and bright with a lovely atmosphere, we both look forward to returning soon!

Food was good, but dessert did seem very 'bought in bulk'.
Never had mead before and was great that you could buy small tasters. Cherry mean is VERY sweet BTW!
Main course was very tasty, and for me, the steak was perfect.
Would've loved to have seen the theme passed down through the food, like perhaps an all you can eat medieval banquet! ☺
Overall, a great place I would visit again should I be in Cornwall again.

Paynters Ln, RedruthI’ve come to visit Cornwall and I’m staying in a nearby cottage. Went to buy fish and chips from here and these were spot on. Great chips, great fish, great curry sauce, my wife liked her mushy peas and I even had a juicy pickled gherkin. Great service too. Highly recommended.

New Inn, Park Bottom, RedruthProper local feel as soon as I walked in. We were passing and had not been in before so it was a good find. Well kept local ale and friendly service. The feel of the place was good as they cater for the local rugby team post match. Wheelchair ramp at entrance. Look forward to returning.

The Square, Portreath, RedruthFour of us stayed at the Portreath Arms in September, the rooms were excellent and the staff very welcoming, the pub serves good beer and has a great atmosphere, we ate in the restaurant which was fully booked but they managed to fit us in. The food and service was to the highest standard, I would certainly eat here again and recommend to others.

The Bridge Inn
Bridge Hill, Bridge, RedruthWent here at 12pm just as it opened. Inside its very existence is stuck in the past but that is what gives it its charm. Basically mostly used by the locals. I had a Sunday roast here a few weeks back and enjoyed it. So thought I would try it again. One thing I can say is that the meal is consistent in providing home cooked food. Once again I enjoyed it. Plus there are different portion sizes depending on how hungry you are. The only thing having a Sunday roast and half a bitter shandy is trying to walk back up that steep hill back to my place of residence. The lovely attentive lady who served me told me a more scenic route to get back to the village. Across the fields. A much more pleasant trek after such a nice meal. I will definitely be attending here again. The only negative thing is the toilets could do with a clean and an update.

The food in the Shaft Inn is top drawer and the Sunday roasts just get better and better and the reason for our return visit today . The bar is up with the best and draught keg beer dispensed spot on served correctly in branded glasses with the branding faced towards the customer . My wife had perfectly presented Gin and Tonic twice and in large bowl stemmed glasses to maximise presentation again . We can only say “thankyou to all” here as always . You’ve cracked it !!

Trevisky, RedruthBeen here a couple of times and always have a few happy people and one sad. The fresh / salad side of the meal is always absolutely scrumptious and ciabatta have always been superb. The fried side seems to be the problem area with super greasy onion rings etc and would NOT recommend the mackie-cheese bites! Coffee and hot chocolate are always great and there's usually a lovely selection of cakes.
