“Small but wonderful selection of meat, fish and vegetarian tapas-style dishes. Very pleasant service from a small and knowledgeable team keen we chose well.
Very unusually, two tables came and left without ordering. This seems to be down to a recent change of proprietor and a radical change of styles, all too much for what is, I guess, a novelty resistant local clientele.
I hope they thrive, and if so, we shall return.”

“Since moving back to Cornwall last November, we try to go out to lunch every Sunday visiting as many different venues as possible, returning to our favourites on numerous occasions. The Crown is up there amongst the best, the pub has a great atmosphere, the food is of a very high standard and the staff are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
Wine by the bottle is very reasonably priced.
I would definitely you book in advance.”

“Sunday Carvery one of the best we have ever had. Meat tender, veg perfectly cooked and crispy roast potatoes. The apple crumble finished the meal off brilliantly.
Well priced, good portions. Wish we lived closer.”

“Great fish and chips and the family working there are very friendly. We were staying at a campsite nearby and it was perfect for the evening! Good portions as well. Don’t get fish and chips like this in London!”

“Absolutely brilliant pub. We moved down to Cornwall in March and everyone has made us feel so welcome. We have made loads of new friends and the landlord and landlady are absolutely wonderful people who we now call us our friends. They run a fantastic pub. The atmosphere is so friendly we absolutely love it and the people that drink in the pub.”

“Absolutely love Edie’s, the food is incredible. The menu is always changing, there’s a good wine list and a welcoming atmosphere. Along with the incredible food comes great service, Edie’s has a knack of finding lovely, joyous humans to work for them. It’s our go to special occasion or treat restaurant.”
