Standard pub food… food quality and value. Nicely lit pub. Good selection of beers on tap.

It is a charming, friendly pub. The landlord was very helpful. We were staying at a large hotel nearby, but the atmosphere in the hotel bar was none existent, so we went to The Cornish Arms.We had a nice night and will pop on there again. They introduced us to a pub game, I won't spoil it, but it involves 6-inch nails?Thank you, Cornish Arms.

Our plan was to have a few beers, play a few games of pool and then have an evening meal, well that didn't happen. First round and the San Miguel was off. We returned this to the bar and reluctantly after tasting it the lad behind the bar replaced it. He replaced it with another larger he tried before serving. The IPA was flat but our other drinks were ok. Obviously aggrieved by this he must have gone to tell the owner and he announced himself by speaking to us in a very kurt and rude manner. Well his manner sealed the deal for us and we left after finishing our drinks. We moved up to the Gannet and had a super evening. Never again you arrogant .... The last time we were in this pub was 1998 watching England play when some Plymouth fans wrecked the joint afterwards, i thought it was because England lost but maybe it was the landlord?

My family and I drove past this little pub on our way to St Ives and saw they had a pub quiz on the following night so we booked in for a meal and the quiz! The customer service was great, we had a waiter named Mason serving our table and he was friendly and attentive! The food was exactly how we envisioned - good portions, great taste and was very much good pub grub. The quiz was done really well too. Barry does an awesome job at creating the quizzes every week and his wife Annie is such a character and made us feel right at home. We will be back if we make it back to this side of the world! From - The Haast Eagles ?

Great food and excellent cask ales, great landlord who appears grumpy at first but really he’s a great laugh, so much better than the badger inn up the road, the Cornish Arms pays attention to detail, we dined there 8 nights out of 14, fantastic staff also

We visited with my husband and 2 well behaved kids. We were met by Dave, the owner. He was rude to us and unnecessarily unkind to my son. We were told to sit in a corner and made to feel most unwelcome. We’re not local but we are Cornish. I would not go back and neither will our family who live in carbis bay!! It was shocking and a really horrible experience.

Just got back from the best ever pub Sunday dinner that I’ve had, honestly. I wouldn’t normally recommend eating out for a Sunday dinner but considering that we are on holiday and decided to book for this evening I was glad we did.The food was great, the size of the meal was amazing and the staff were fantastic.I would totally recommend and I would believe that we will visit again before heading home.Dogs are welcome so we visited with 3 adults and our dog.

Rubbish. Booked a table for Sunday lunch day before and had confirmation, when we arrived were told they were fully booked and didn't even seem bothered, but hey ho that's the way they run their business. Good luck to them. We found somewhere better ?

When there for Sunday dinner 18.00hrs. I had Turkey partner had Beef. Looked amazing, but both dinners were bland and tasteless. Roast potatoes were hard and hadn’t seen an oven, no taste to the meats, veg or the fabulous “ looking “ Yorkshire pudding. Really dissatisfied and very disappointed.

Spotted this place while out walking into St. Ives on a Sunday morning. They had a sign out the front advertising Sunday roast, lunch and dinner. So back we came in the evening, very busy , we got the last table, the place was booked out, very popular. A young staff looked after us well., had the roast pork and roast beef with plenty of vegies. A lovely meal and very filling. Give it a go for sure but we strongly recommend you book before hand .

Our place for the Sunday Roast. Great value, good selection of beers and lagers. Cosy atmosphere. Been coming here for years and hopefully many more.
