“Amazing setting if its a lovely sunny day, not so sure on a cold wintery day. Me and my wife had an amazing chicken ciabatta bread with chips, and she still talks about it to this day how nice it was. Great view if you can get on the outside seating with the sun going down. Would highly ”

“I made a brief stop here for a couple of pints. The bartender (Smila) and the locals made me feel very welcome. I would definitely return!”

“What a fab little place! Super handy for Truro, plenty of parking, very comfy rooms and lovely pub attached. Breakfast was yummy and we used the pub to chill out with the kids during a rainy day too. Nice coffee and loads of board games to play, we had such a nice family morning. Michaela was on the desk when we arrived and was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“I found it difficult to recommend anywhere for a fine dining experience in West Cornwall until we visited Tabb’s on Thursday 14th September. Small menu (always a good sign) with just 5 or 6 starters, mains and desserts, I was excited by the menu representing local, seasonal produce. Faultless service, with a complimentary amuse bouche of mushroom soup with garlic oil and lovely homemade bread. The starters of bream on black pasta with artichoke cream was outstanding, whilst my other half really enjoyed a lightly spiced Thai soup. Beef short rib and duck main courses were cooked to perfection and had outstanding sides including pig cheeks with chick peas. Dessert of chocolate marquis with black treacle ice cream and salted caramel sauce was one if the best desserts we have ever had-so much so we licked the plates! Decent wine list at reasonable prices and complimentary iced tap water. This place is an absolute gem and we will be returning on a regular basis.”

“I avoided coming here for the longest time based on the exterior - but it's probably my favourite pub in Truro. Unlike most pubs it's nice and dark on the inside and has plenty of seating. It has barrels of free monkey nuts which I've never seen anywhere else. The staff were friendly and there was a good range of drinks.”
