Amazing 9 course tasting menu, the food was up there with the best we’ve had and was beautifully presented. The service was excellent with great descriptions of the food and its provenance. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be back

If you are a massive foodie and are in Rock or a drivable distance away, you MUST visit the Karrek for dinner. It is an unbelievable hidden gem. This was our second time and it was amazing once again - the food, the stories behind the dishes, the service, the wine pairings - were all incredible. Great value for money too. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful last night in Rock :)

We treated our parents to the 6 course tasting menu at the Karrek whilst holidaying in Cornwall, they thoroughly enjoyed it and said the food was amazing. I’d like to thank the lovely and very friendly staff for making it such a special experience for my parents and for looking after them, thank you

My wife and I, along with another couple, enjoyed a delightful evening at the Karrek restaurant at the St Enodoc Hotel in Rock, Cornwall. The calming interior, along with the views of the River Camel, make for a relaxed and comfortable setting. All four of us selected the six-course tasting menu, which turned out to be just the right amount of food for us. The ingredients are sourced locally, including from the restaurant’s own garden. The creatively prepared dishes and the thoughtful presentation by Chef Guy Owen made for a memorable dining experience. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was flawless. Thank you to Chef Owen and team for such a wonderful evening!

An absolutely fantastic experience. The food and wine were excellent, lots of locally sourced food (some visible from the restaurant itself!), and wonderful flavour and texture pairings. Megan our host was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing the team’s personal stories of the various dishes and wines being served. Thank you for having us and we will be back! Definitely recommend the nine course with wine pairing.

This was the third visit to Karrek. We love this restaurant’s 6 course menu. Every item was amazingly good and the service and location are faultless.

We have been fortunate to experience a few tasting menus, but this one at Karrek will remain in our memories for a very long time. Karrek is a separate restaurant within the St Enodoc hotel in Rock. Each course was delicious, superbly presented, along with well matched wines. Mathilde, the restaurant manager, made us so welcome and the whole team were professional and their genuine enthusiasm shone through. Their recent 3 rosette award in the 2023 AA guide is well deserved and we look forward to returning.

Thank you for an absolutely wonderful evening. Everything was delightful, and everyone was helpful, and ensured we had a happy visit and a delicious meal. Yes.... we had the 9 course tasting menu, with wine flight...... so it was a great experience. The restaurant manager, Mathilde was charming, and always ensured we were relaxed and enjoying our meal. Executive Chef Guy Owen has designed and produced a wonderful tasting menu. On the night it was realised that one of us had an allergy to an item planned for the menu. Yet within a short time he produced a new dish, just for us, and it was almost the standout dish of the night.....actually there were lots of memorable moments. Max, the sommelier, was full of good advice, and the wines chosen were perfect. Thank you to the whole team for a special dinner and evening.

Incredible! My wife and i dont normally like tasing menus as it can be very slow, a bit poncy and one still feels hungry afterwards! We ate at The Karrek though last night and had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing and OMG! It really was incredible. Each course was perfect, the wine couldn’t have gone better with the food, we received a proper sized glasses of wine each course so have a bit of a headache this morning, and the service was impeccable - special thank you to Matild and your other colleague, we can’t remember her name, for looking after us and making the whole experience so enjoyableWe are already looking forward to returning and couldn’t recommend the restaurant and staff highly enoughWarm regardsPeter & Corinne Cunningham

Wow! This really is sensational. From the views across the estuary, the elegant dining room, to the very gracious and knowledgeable service from Marco. But the food is the star (and I’d be amazed if they don’t get one soon). Not a single dish disappointed, with a keen eye on local, primarily fishy, ingredients.Whether it was the fantastic amuse bouches, including a remarkable tiny mackerel taco with caviar and “fish and chips”, the scallop with a lovingly prepared sauce Jacqueline, a remarkable risotto with oysters and mussels, the saffron rich bouillabaisse or the stunning “lemon and honey”, the cooking was of the very highest quality, bettering many of the one- and two-starred restaurants we’ve eaten in.We had bottles of Chablis, Condrieu, an Oregon Pinot Noir and a Sauternes which were all young but delicious. There were four of us, don’t judge!Head chef Martin and sous chef Lydia are destined for greatness, so make a beeline now before the secret gets out and it takes months to get a table. We’ll be back in no time. Tonight would be great.

A 9 course gastro delight accelerated with a first class cabin matching wine flightThere is a largely undiscovered culinary gem in Rock, Karrek housed within The St Enodoc Hotel on Rock Road in Rock Cornwall. The resident chef is Guy Owen of The Great British Menu who delivers an amazing culinary journey over 9 courses with a matching wine flight. The food is delicious, the ambience is sophisticated yet still relaxed managed expertly by Marco. If you enjoy fabulous food Karrek needs to figure on your must book list it’s up there with the other super chef venues in the camel estuary.

Vicki and her team made us two friends very relaxed. We had a glass of fizz in the beautiful gardens before going to our table, and we gossiped and giggled the evening away with their shorter tasting menu. The shorter tasting menu is perfect for those that want to enjoy their experience but not feel too heavy. The rhubarb pudding was the star of the show, and we enjoyed it so much we asked for an aperitif with the rhubarb gel and camel valley fizz. It was a perfect ending to a perfect meal. Will be back soon!

Two of us brought our hopes and tummy's to Karrick for their six course taster meal. It was just a delight. Honestly! We also chose to add the wine flight alongside the food. Great choices and the care taken really did contribute to the meal and of course our glazed and contented overall feeling. The food was close to spectacular. Delicious, clever but not to the point of intellectual, just simply a treat. If I was asked to recommend Karrek, well actually I already have..........several times. From the service to the views, from the dining room to the chef, we both thank you for a lovely evening Colin and Judith

This was our first time at Karrek but as we’ve always had a good experience in the Brasserie we thought we’d give it a try. We were not disappointed! The food was really delicious - each of the 9 courses was beautifully presented and so tasty. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - also knowledgeable about the menu. For a more formal dining experience it was also very relaxed and we enjoyed the fact that Vicki had time to stop and chat to us about the dishes we were eating. The whole evening was perfect - a real treat. We will return!
