Went at a quiet time of day, one person ahead of me about to be served. Woman at the till gives me a scathing look and says “um you’ve actually come in the wrong door”. Ok, fine, there’s two of us there so isn’t exactly an issue but my mistake, so fine I go back around and in the “right” door. Worth noting this is June 2022 so no Covid restrictions, peak pandemic I could have understood. Go back to where I was before, three other people come in the “wrong” door. Server looks at me, looks back at them, and proceeds to make me wait while she serves all three ahead of me? We’re literally the only people at that end of the bakery at the time so she hasn’t just lost track, the whole thing was super weird and rude. Literally the only thing that set me apart from anyone else there was the fact I was wearing a mask, so I can only assume she took a dislike to that. Would therefore suggest avoiding this business if you still feel more comfortable wearing masks in public spaces as your service may be impacted if the server on the day disapproves!

Had 2 pasties that were fairly good, however we also ordered pannini's and one in particular was probably the worst attempt at a sandwich I have ever had - missing a key listed ingredient... Cheese.I would have preferred not to leave a bad review here and would have just returned to give them a chance to rectify. Unfortunately I took my pannini to go and the bakery was closed once I had realised - obviously this isn't the bakery's fault.Accepting human error and the missing ingredient (was supposed to be chicken, cheese and chilli jam), I'm not sure how they cooked the pannini, the top was like a giant stale crouton and the bottom was soggy. My partners pannini was the same in this respect. + dry chicken and not so good chilli jam.Not great for a £5 sandwich in my opinion.

Amazing bacon egg and sausage baguette. We came back a 2nd time to pick up some bits for lunch. Excellent food and staff. Eating in space is quite limited though so bear this in

The staff are always really lovely, even when super busy. Also, so kind to my Dad when he pops in. Thoughtful and caring. Always great place to stop for drink and nourishment on a

We stopped in to grab a pasty from here and they were delicious. The only suggestion would be to have a menu closer to the door as the queue was quite long and there would have been plenty of time to decide what to eat instead of rushing at the counter once the menu was in sight.

Oh my goodness!! Pasties are amazing, lovely selection of salads, superb bread. We never go anywhere else. Easy distance from Rock village and Polzeath.

Some lovely produce, however, went in at approximately 2.30 pm when they had begun to cover their prepared salad with cling film, and they refused to sell it to us. I don’t see that it would have have put them out, so I have marked them down. Looks like it’s a microwave meal for us tonight.

We bought two pasties yesterday , one was a standard steak to eat there and then and the other was a frozen gluten free one to cook at home. (As we chose to be GF from today ?) The standard steak was superb and packed to the hilt with steak.( nicest pasty I've had !) The Gluten free one was just as nice , cooked to perfection in my Ninja Foodie. The GF pastry had a nice crunch to it and it was filled just as well as the standard pasty . Highly recommended.

Meat pasty had almost literally no meat in it - it was 98% potato. Don’t understand all the great reviews - maybe I just got a bad one

Excellent produce, easy to book pick up of order at end of our holiday week.

The food was increadible but the customer service left a lot to be desired. The staff were incredibly rude the whole time and one old lady even randomly shouted at a customer in the queue - not impressed.

Nice food but staff member was slow and I had to repeat my order several times. Retraining or better hearing required

Bought the luxury fish pie. Not sure what part was luxury. 80% potato. A sprinkling of salmon. 2 mini prawns. A speckle of eggs yolk. Very dry. Very disappointing.

A lovely local chain of bakers. Their pasties are excellent but they also have an extensive selection of other bakery and deli products.
