Just came in to meet someone for a drink - nice ambience and good views, staff were great and prices reasonable.

Lovely place, what a view! Good service and good food. Slightly overpriced but all in all good.

Came here for light lunch for three: plate of salmon fishcakes, prawn marie rose sandwich, couple of beers, glass of wine about 40.00. Very friendly service, nice terrace view of padstow, lots of seating inside.

We had everything going for us this time. A car park with spaces, a car park machine that worked, beautiful warm sunshine and a few steps away, a friendly welcome and a front table on the Rock Inn's balcony overlooking the estuary. We had a very nice cream tea and a panini, a glass of wine and a coffee. Much nicer than fighting the hoards in Padstow. Recommended.

Sadly not a great experience. Service staff were lovely but the food unfortunately let the place down. It’s in a brilliant location in Rock, but nearly every dish we had was overcooked from the scallops, to the fish and chips, to the mussels. We also felt it was very expensive for the quality of the food (appreciate prices are up at the moment) but for what we paid, I would expect better. Just a shame really.

Tasty food, helpful, friendly staff with beautiful views looking out over the river. We had a range of dishes including the seafood linguini and fish and chips. The mussels and prawns were delicious! They also have a great selection of drinks including tasty cornish ales and ciders. They have a lift for disabled access which is very handy for those who can't use the stairs. Overall a lovely restaurant and would go back when in the area again.

As locals we were very disappointed with our experience today. A table of four and only two meals were barely edible. The location and the friendly waiting staff are the main draw. Kitchen really needs a rethink and a decent chef! The owners response to the above review is deluded they are living in denial.

Popped in on a whim and so glad I did. Very friendly staff and the most delicious steak and chips. It's probably even more fantastic if you book in advance and get a sea view!

We popped in for a quick drink. The Upper Deck gave us a fantastic view of the estuary. The staff were excellent at finding us a table with our dog at a very busy time. Will be back for sure. The prices were reasonable given the location.

As always every time we are in rock we always eat here, this time didn’t disappoint. Hubby had fish and chips and I had fishcakes and chips.

Lovely spot, friendly staff, we sat outside on the balcony overlooking the estuary - dogs are welcome. We had a few sharing plates between us which were tasty, cannot fault.

Quick bite and drink whilst waiting for the ferry to padstow Shocked at the prices £11.00 for tuna fish sandwich! Although it was very tasty also too many dogs in the restaurant made it difficult to walk through without tripping over or standing on one

What a disappointing meal. Supposed takeaway menu due to bank holiday was either burger and chips or sausage in a bap and chips for £8. We had wanted to try The Rock for a while so decided to stay and wish I hadn't. Despite such a limited menu they got our order wrong, got our drink order wrong - not complicated just lemonade but when the food came it was cheap ingredients on plate plates???? Not worth the time or money.

Great setting and a beautiful view. Staff where friendly and welcoming but no attention to the dog no water offered to to the dog nothing the disappointing part was the food Crab and prawn cocktail as as starter couldn’t find the crab also the Main of fish pie was just mash potato and a lot of cheese 3 of us had this for main but none of could find hardly any fish and chips where very greasy room for improvement on the food we wouldn’t rush back.

Went for lunch and a drink after a morning on the beach. Friendly staff who happily moved tables around to cater for a group of 7. Great views across the estuary towards Padstow and the surrounding countryside. Food was good and I enjoyed a local pint! Dog friendly too, which was great for us. Recommended.
