Very overpriced menu for New Year's Eve. Nothing really special. Very disappointed. Total bill was £247 and that included a 20% service fee. Whilst the customer service was great, I would not have left a tip of £40. London prices in the Lake district. Won't return.

Lovely staff but the food is really underwhelming for the price. Very basic flavours and textures, which don't match expectations for what you pay. I'd love to give more because they were so lovely.

The definition of a hidden gem. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but oh my goodness what a meal. It was so nice to have vegetarian food that was so much more than bean burgers and pasta. We shared a cheesecake for starters- savoury cheesecake is such a good idea - and then had the cauliflower steak and an arrangement involving aubergine, with lava cakes to finish off. Each course was beautifully presented and the portion sizes were just right. Topped with great staff and a lovely atmosphere this is definitely one to visit

This place is that rare gem: a wonderful restaurant with an upscale ambience that just happens to be vegetarian. All of our food was tasty and beautifully presented, and the strawberry-rhubarb crumble was exceptional. The setting was charming, the service was attentive and caring, and the whole dining experience was first-rate.

The menu is not vast but so good to have decent veggie / vegan options and the food we sampled was delicious. Unfortunately our starters arrived before drinks but that was quickly remedied. We tried the goat cheese tart and the arancini balls, both very tasty. For mains we had the cauliflower steak and the nut roast. Again, both delicious. Another slight mix up with my side dish but apologetic and quickly resolved again.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant with very good and friendly service. (I'm omnivorous and not overly keen on vegetarian food). I really enjoyed this meal altho the strawberry ice cream with the roasted plums didn't really gel. Decaff coffee too milky for my taste do ask for an extra shot. Well worth revisiting!

We saw this place while walking through Ambleside and decided to eat here to end our holiday. The food was incredible and it was great knowing the entire menu is Vegetarian. There aren't many vegetarian only places, so to find one in the middle of Ambleside was a delight. The food, the presentation and the atmosphere were all perfect and we couldn't have asked for better service. Definitely a 10/10 restaurant for us and worth visiting whether you're vegetarian or not

We’ve eaten here numerous times over the years. Our first visit was on the second day it was open and it’s been a treat coming back every time. Don’t be put off by it being vegetarian (are people still put off by that?) and also don’t be put off by the menu. I often have little idea what whatever I’m ordering is going to look like. Just be assured that it’ll be delicious!! The restaurant also has a cinema screen upstairs. With tea, coffee, wine, popcorn and other snacks available. The seats are extremely comfortable and I always love the selection of films on offer. The manager Nenad is a great guy and has been there since day one. He recognises us every visit (even after a two year hiatus for us for the pandemic/illness). The other staff are always excellent too. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Whether you are a vegetarian or not, this place is outstanding. Pure veggie food but, trust me, you will not miss the meat. Better yet, unlike a lot of veggie / vegan places they don't try to pretend it's meat with fake burgers and such. This is high end cooking but just with vegetarian ingredients. We always visit when we are in Ambleside and it never fails to please. We had a nut roast and a cauliflower steak main, both of which were tasty, inventive and stunning. I often find some vegetarian / vegan meals lack depth but here......as deep as you like and more. Desserts of a gorgeous crumble with ice cream and a beautiful pavlova rounded off the meal. It's hugely popular so make sure you book but it is well worth it.

Really impressed by the imaginative and delicious menu - and wine list. Lovely stylish ambience, friendly and professional staff too. I had the individual moussaka (not something I’d normally try at a veggie restaurant tbh) but this was fresh and delicious. My partner ate cashew roast en croute, also delicious. I ate mine with a beautiful Italian red, she drank a French white. They really know their wine here, as well as their food. We are both long term vegans and I used to be a professional cook and food/recipe writer so it was a treat to find such quality. Anyone would enjoy this food, whatever their dietary choices!

Great ambience and service. We ordered nut roast and cauliflower and some bread. The house red wine is good too. This is one of our favourite vegetarian restaurants in UK.

Excellent Vegetarian and Vegan friendly restaurant. Most dishes are Vegan or have a Vegan option so they’re great choice. The service is as top and an all round great experience.

We were recommended this place by a friend and so glad we went. The menu was absolutely amazing, the only problem was making a decision as it all looked amazing. We were delighted with all of our food and it was all amazingly delicious.

As a family of 9, we dined here recently while holidaying in Coniston. From start to finish an excellent experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they suggested the 3 children could order pasta or pizza, while the adults had an excellent choice from the main menu. We are a family of vegetarian/vegans, and all ordered different meals. We were spoilt for choice, each of us loved the food we had chosen, starter, mains and desserts. Would definitely recommend Fellinis and can not wait to return.
