A real treat.The three of us had a wonderful lunch at Kysty. We had the cured chalk stream trout, the charred mackerel followed by the guides hen with Madeira sauce, the chocolate device and the rum tart. What a delicious, delicious meal with fabulous service. We loved the wine pairings. Oh that we lived nearer to dine here regularly.

Well what a wonderful addition to Ambleside’s food scene! The decor is modern, with plenty of nods to the Lakeland area in beautiful artwork. The staff were genuine and friendly and the service could not be faulted. And the food was absolutely outstanding! We could not have been happier with our experience and will definitely return.

5/5 - my partner and I are both vegetarian and had a wonderful experience here. Staff were really helpful and chefs are very talented. At the end of the meal my partner (whose birthday it was) said “it’s the best food I’ve ever eaten.” Wonderful atmosphere and environment. Beautiful products and a very skilled and creative kitchen team making perfectly balanced food that is hard to forget - the ingredients sing! The beer sourdough, beetroot meringue and cabbage main were stand out dishes.
We received vouchers to dine here for our engagement and it was a lovely little treat. It is an A La Carte style menu with matching wine suggestions and there are plenty of options for everyone. All of the courses were beautifully cooked and presented and the staff were lovely! The only thing that didn’t wow me was the dessert and I love a good pud but overall the experience was 5*

Service and food are excellent. We did make the mistake of not ordering a bottle of prosecco and opted for the English sparkling. The menu we had said it was £5 a glass but it's actually £15! Its quite sharp and dry so if you prefer sweeter bubbles go for the bottle of Prosecco (£38)! A good way to try fine wines too.

Visited Kysty for the first time yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! The food is amazing, everything cooked and presented to perfection and the service is second to none. A hidden gem in the heart of Ambleside.
