We ate at this fabulous restaurant on our way to Scotland, as spent a night in Appleby. It was so good that we made sure we stopped again on our way home! We’ve sampled high end Indian cuisine in London, and without a shadow of a doubt, this restaurant is better than all of them put together. Phenomenal!

Kid-friendliness: Staff were so family orientated, the children had a ball!

Meal was a bit hot for my friend.. they saw her struggling so they changed her meal free. They were very busy but made time to chat to us.. lovely guys. Will be back 100%

Vegetarian options: Visit.. you won't be disappointed

Very good meal first time there staff very good wife picked a curry and it was to hot and the staff changed it for free very good service.

My husband & I were visiting Appleby for a few days and booked here after a recommendation from a staff member at our hotel.
I can honestly say it’s one of the best Indian meals we’ve had. The food was amazing, authentic, well presented & full of flavour. Even the water was good served with fresh fruit.
We were looked after by Miah & Miah, who were so friendly & very attentive. Really lovely people. I would definitely recommend & only wish the restaurant was closer to our home in Chester.

Wow ! Probably the best curry we’ve ever had and that includes the children’s feedback too ! Great service and recommendations from the menu. If you like lamb the Mauri is delicious and for the kids Panch Phoron was mild but tasty (they wanted more). We cannot wait to come back.

Thee most beautiful food we've eaten is ages! The food was awesome, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Every aspect of the evening was spectacular! I would give 6 stars if I could!

This is our second takeaway and I can honestly say it's one of the best curries we've had. It's so tasty, no artificial colours, lots of tender meat, and good value for money. The staff are also really friendly. I'd highly recommend the Lamb Rogan Josh.

Best curry house we have been to in years. Food was really tasty and a great selection of the usual curries as well as some more unusual standards and a specials menu. Staff were really friendly and great atmosphere. Pretty reasonable too. Wouldn't change a thing.

They serve solid curry house staples, but also traditional Bengali dishes and some absolutely brilliant chef's creations—I highly recommend the lamb with fennel and green chilli. When you see two or three chillies on the menu, they mean it.

Vegetarian options: Decent vegetable curries and a couple of good aubergine dishes, but could do better—dishes with cheese, mushroom and/or meat substitutes wouldn't go amiss

What an amazing meal. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented, and tasted incredible, it was honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The service was great, very attentive and friendly, everyone made us feel so welcome. I would definitely recommend visiting here and we will certainly be back.

We really enjoyed our meal here! Came as a family of 5 on holiday - we phoned up at 5pm and managed to get a table at 7:30pm. We'd read reviews on Google and wanted to give it a try. Food was boiling hot, delicious, authentic and full of flavour. Portions don't look big but once you finish it you feel a nice full rather than stuffed! Front of house was also the waiter and bar man - he was working very hard on his own and the restaurant was quite busy! He was very hardworking and had excellent attention to detail. Water flavoured with lemon, cucumber and grapefruit was refreshing and a nice touch along with the sugar coated fennel seeds as a palette cleanser! We were very impressed and would return!

Parking: Parking on road outside the pub and round the corner on road also

Lovely meal here last night. Booked at last minute but food and service was excellent and owner very attentive and interesting guy.

We had the mango curry dish and the Korma. They were delicious. Their naan bread was the best we have had. Very nice people as well, friendly and passionate.

Really tasty curry - breads were particularly good! Great service too. Only thing was that we felt the portions were a quite small - particularly the rice, so would definitely have ordered a bit more if we’d known
