Take away, if you like predominantly oily, inedible food then this could be your perfect however I would rate this as the worst meal I have ever paid for

Came here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the food and service here. We were promptly seated by the fabulous Danny who looked after us throughout the evening. The food was served promptly and was delicious. Next time we are in Appleby we are sure to visit again. So a big thanks to all, especially Danny who was amazing and an extra special thankyou Danny for the amazing gifts you sent us. Management,if you read the reviews please pass our best wishes and thanks to Danny.

We ordered a takeaway from here. The restaurant itself had friendly staff and nice vibe but we have really come to review the food- absolutely incredible. Really recommend the Makani and the Jalfrezi was really flavoursome alongside the heat. 10/10

We were staying at Appleby Manor for 2 nights and ate there on the first night but wanted something different. Spotted Ashiana as we drove through the town. The staff were really friendly the restaurant was really modern and clean and the food was excellent, We both had Poppadoms & dips, our starters were mixed platter & prawn puree. Our mains were Chicken Tikka Tandoori style with salad, Lamb Bhuna, Onion rice and Garlic Naan. Every dish was lovely, we both love Indian food and have to say this was the best we've had anywhere for a long time, the bill was a third of the previous night and the food much better. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. A little gem.

Been going for years, had not been for a while went to get a takeaway. One of the meals was a lamb tikka, it had next to no meat in it was about 5 5 pence sized peice in. The sauce in all meals was only half way up the tub. Was really disappointed won't be back again.

Best Butter Chicken Ever! Very flavoursome. Only recently discovered and all the family have now converted to Ashiana for our takeaways. Karen Morland Cliburn

Just had the most fabulous takeaway on a Monday evening. One of the highlights in our week long trip to the area, where much of the pub food has been pretty mediocre. I tried a chicken modu wala for the first time (never even heard of it before!) and it was absolutely delicious!!! Not for everyone I'm sure because it is very sweet but to me it was a revelation! Starter and dessert all in one! Our other food was equally scrumptious and very reasonably priced too. Thank you to everyone at Ashiana.

Food equal to anything I've tasted in London. Some unusual dishes from southern and eastern India. Friendly service and impeccably clean. Loved it.

We couldn't get a table as they was fully booked so we opted for a takeaway. Said would be an hour on the phone so we went to get it an hour later and was worth the wait. Lovley would defo recommend ?

Probably the best Indian takeaway I've ever had and the service was friendly and welcoming. Next time we will eat in the restaurant.

Amazing little spot in Appleby. Great Indian, lovely and quick service. Waiter was very polite and attentive. Would definitely recommend the “mix platter” starter - great price and super tasty. Peshwari naan was also 10/10. Would definitely visit again!!

We visit this wonderful restaurant once every year. My family love Lake district so we come all the way from Birmingham, finishing touch to a beautiful weekend is the food and fantastic service from Ashiana. Cannot thank the team enough for being great hosts and the amazing food. If you guys ever down Birmingham, Walsall do visit a place called Hijab Boutique. Thanks again

the food was amazing - rich, tasty and spicy and our waiter made some great recommendations from the menu. a lot of the dishes are unique and created by the chef. we recommend the Imlea and the Jal Masala!
