Everything- 10* service from Adam and Symmoane, History of the building, the facilities and breakfast were all outstanding and we were made to feel at home as soon as we walked through the door. Breakfast is included and is a fantastic continental. All the little things are thought about- portable fan/heater in room umbrellas offered in case of unfortunate weather. Plenty of water offered. Fantastic!

Excellent stay at Elim over the bank holiday. The couple who own the Guest House could not be more helpful and welcoming. Rooms were sparkling clean and great little touches left in the room. we had a few issues whilst we were there with medication, maps etc and they just sorted us out, no hassle. We both agreed it made a pleasant change not to have a hot breakfast. My partner loved his daily porridge and compotes each morning. fab location too. no negatives, other than we had to leave. definitely recommend and will hopefully return next year.

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Elim Bank over the bank holiday weekend and what a great find this Guest House is. Just a 5 minute walk left out of the hotel you are in the heart of Bowness, with its array of shops, bars, great places to eat and the dock to catch the boats across the lake. The hotel itself is gorgeous, both inside and out. There is a small car park around the back of the hotel, which is fab in Bowness as parking seemed difficult over the bank holiday. When we arrived we were met by both Adam and Symmoane, with a great warm welcome. Both made us feel so at home when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them, going over everything we might need for our stay. When it came to breakfast, there is a booking system (book your time by 7pm the night before) which was great for us. The breakfast room is only small, but for a 7 bedroomed guesthouse it was perfect. The breakfast is continental- with a great selection of cereals, brown and white bread to toast, croissants and pan au chocolat (which you can warm) and a fridge of juices and milks and a gorgeous home made compot you can help yourself to. Porridge is also made fresh for you by Adam and Symmoane. Initially we wernt sure whether we would be disappointed with not having a cooked full english option each morning but we were far from disappointed. We actually preferred it. We were out and about all day and it was a lovely start with fresh coffee and tea. We booked a double loft room, so had 2 flights of stairs to go up. There is no lift. But this was no problem for us. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious enough for the 2 of us. I liked the touches the room had like a hairdryer and a fan, a heat mat (for straighteners) and also the toileterries in the bathroom. We had such a fabulous stay and will 100% be coming back to stay again.

Excellent Guest House, really good. Our room was comfortable, clean and warm with everything needed for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble especially for the lovely breakfast. Great location near the lake, strongly recommended and we very much hope to return in the future.

We stayed here for 3 nights & had a beautiful stay. The room was a bit small, but very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was so nice, lots to choose from, it was nice not having a full English for a change. Nothing was to much trouble for the hosts, always asking if we needed anything extra. We would highly recommend the Elim guest house, so close to everything in Bowness, & we will return next time we are going to the Lakes.

We had a great time here! The hosts are such lovely people, we felt very welcome and cared for during our stay. The room was tidy, clean and had everything we needed, with comfy beds and complimentary bottled water, coffee/tea and creamer. We loved the breakfast with good coffee, porridge, toast, cereals and yoghurt.Great location, close to the lake and all the shops, cafés and restaurants (free on-site parking).

We had a wonderful time! The hosts are absolutely lovely and our room was nice and tidy. For breakfast there was toast with different jams, marmite or honey; several kinds of cereals; greek yogurt or a variety of porridges to choose from. Also croissants and juices. The guest house is a beautiful historic building with loads of charm. In the back there are parking spaces. It is a comfortable walk down to the pier in Bowness-on-Windermere or up to Windermere. We had an awesome time there and the hosts where open and helpful so we really felt cared for.Thank you for having us!Walkability: Perfectly located between Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere so that both are easily reachable by foot. Takes approximately 10 min to the pier in Bowness-on-Windermere.

We stayed there for two nights this weekend and can highly recommend this establishment, the communication from the owners prior to arrival was excellent upon arrival we received a warm welcome and the room was a good size and had everything we needed and most importantly it was clean, the bed was comfortable and clean Breakfast was a light breakfast ( not a full cooked breakfast) which was excellent for us. Many thanks to the owners. We would stay here again and would recommend to others without hesitation-

We stayed at Elim Bank the first week in April We have visited Bowness B&B’s for several years, this one was by far the nicest we have experienced, hosts Adam & symmoane made everything so easy for our stay They had the nicest personalities as well as a lovely place to stay, the breakfast is continental & lovely to go with it , loads of choice with plenty of food to give you the energy for the hills, wouldn’t hesitate to visit again , private parking to the rear and all you could ask for as a base, my message is, see you soon Adam & symmoane Phil & Julie ?
