Had the most amazing meal this evening. Everything was home cooked and piping hot. Food was incredible. Staff are fabulous and very attentive. So pleased I booked or we wouldn’t have been able to walk in and get a table. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Small friendly restaurant with a nice menu choice. The staff were very attentive and the food was as good as anywhere. Soup, prawns, fish and steak all cooked perfectly. We will definitely go again the next time we are in the Lake District.

We were originally booked in at Porto for my wife's birthday as we had been there previously. We got cancelled without an explanation, so had to find an alternative. I'm so glad Porto was cancelled! We were met by Andrew who was really friendly and acommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We ordered scallops to start which were delicious and then fillet steak which was equally as delicious. If you're looking for quality food and service, then look no further. Porto's loss is Jacksons gain and our gain too. Can't wait to come back next time we're in the lakes.

Went here for my husband's 70th birthday Andrew made my husband feel very special. The service was amazing and the food was to die for.Jenny the chef is a brilliant cook her sauces go so well with the great choices of dishes. We enjoyed the meals so much we just couldn't wait to return the next night of our stay. Our return visit was another great experience can recommend the rib eye steak lamb henr y and the duck and chicken strogonoff. Everything from starters to desserts were mouth watering. Thank you to all the staff and of course the star cook Jenny.

Visited Jacksons on our annual trip to the Lakes Lovely greeting .The food was fabulous served fresh,hot and tasty .Varied menu to suit everyone and reasonably priced Excellant service Highly recommend

My other half came in September with his freinds they all loved the place and food and vowed they would return. Me and my other came in December during the snow. We had a lovely meal and great service a lovely sweet restaurant you have a lovely place which I overheard you had had for years carry on we will return when we come again thankyou xx❤️?

Went last night for a family meal for my friends 60th , well, wow !!! The service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for the young waiter and I think the other guy was the owner who really looked after us ? The food was just beautiful, I had cheesy garlic bread to start but the beef borginion ( rubbish spelling !) Was to die for !!! Really reasonable for the food and drinks too, great ambience, loved it !! Last went there for my 21st, 36 years ago ? sad that i've never been back till now and we only live 10 mile away !! Will deffo return and wholeheartedly reccomend ?

Eat there Monday and Tuesday night the food and service was first class, the owner was was so professional and top marks to the chefs you can not fault this restaurant we were looked after so well and a massive thankyou to the loverly Jane who made our night, we would never go any where else and we would recommend this restaurant to any one who likes excellent food and service, a massive well done to all the great staff

We had a super evening at Jackson’s. There was lots of choice and the food really was delicious. The service was fantastic and as a coeliac guest I was really looked after and felt safe knowing what I was eating had been adapted. A lovely atmosphere. Great value too. If I was to add anything it would be to have dimmer lighting and the addition of candles to make it super cosy. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

We were staying in Bowness for a few days and chose this place at random, and the meal was excellent. The staff are really good, very friendly and welcoming. We liked the meal so much we went back again the next night. I had a gorgeous confit duck one evening, and excellent sea bass the next. Both were excellent. The coffee was also excellent - we had some poor coffee in other places that week, but this was freshly ground and really delicious. I would go back again tomorrow night if I could.
