We have visited this place on numerous occasions over the years and always loved the place, now it’s not the same ….. on our first visit today we were turned away, as there wasn’t any tables spare, in the dog friendly seating area (we had our dog with us), all tables were taken by non dog owners, this area should be for dog owners only! we returned again an hour later and managed to get a table in that area, our food today was below average, Cumberland sausage was hard to cut, chips were very dry, steak and ale pie was more like veg pie, with tiny bits of meat……left today annoyed and dissatisfied

We chose the Quayside for our works Christmas meal out, and it was undoubtedly the best meal we have had - ever! The food was amazing, great portions (too much), excellent service in particular Ian and Kaya. They were attentive, friendly and nothing was a problem. We all had a fantastic evening and we will all be returning with our families. Thanks again to everyone at the Quayside.

Reasonably priced beer. Sells local brewery beer. Good food. Dog friendly. The amazing staff opened the quayside as a refuge for all those caught in the snow as an overnight shelter at the pubs own expense. Big credit to the staff for that consideration. Amazing .

First time of visiting. A very good establishment for food and drink. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Just for me and in my opinion alone it had been a very long day and I just needed a quiet conversation whilst enjoying my food and drink but unfortunately on that evening other attendees were enjoying their own fun a tad louder than I needed.Parking: Parking is directly outside and opposite the restaurant with plenty of facilities for able and disabled users.

Great place with fantastic food and quick service. Friendly staff. Can be busy as it has views over the lake but it's got lots of seating so shouldn't be a problem getting a table.

Only stopped for a few hours but the place looks great. Nice view over the lake. Food and drink options are very good. Also looks like a great atmosphere in the evenings. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will like to return when next in town. Recommend highly.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. Ordered the Korean burger which I doubled up on for am extra £3.50. The burger was very filling and came with a decent portion of chips. The atmosphere was really nice and the pub seemed welcoming. Some nice live entertainment as well. Would fully recommend and would definitely return again.Parking: Parking available across the road. £4.90 between 8am and 8pm.Wheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair accessibility

Can’t fault this place at all. First time here food served on piping hot plates which for Lamb Henry essential as gravy would be cold in no time. Service tip top and portions are large. Excellent value.

Food was mediocre. Beef and ale pie had various indefinable cuts of meat in it. And the gravy was quite bland. Red cabbage had too much black pepper. Chocolate ice cream in the brown sundae was sandy due to water ice crystals.Service felt very rushed.Cocktails were really good though. And stunning views across the lake

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening and were shown to a window table which was lovely. The view was amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, I had lasagne and my husband had a burger. The burger was clearly homemade and the lasagne was tasty. We had sticky toffee pudding with 2 spoons for dessert. Would highly recommend Quayside for a meal or just a drink and take in the view.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view. Pretty decent food and service from most of the staff. However I had to give this experience 3 star instead of 5 because when I first went in, a young lady by the bar, who saw me waiting to be seated, simply ignored me and just stood around until her male colleague (who was a lot friendlier and polite) came over to help. Same thing happened when I tried to order at the bar.. she saw me but didn’t attend to me and the same guy had to come over to take my order. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or maybe she’s new and inexperienced or she just didn’t like my face :-) .. but kudos to the kind gentleman for his good service and the waitress that served us our food!

Very nice place, nice view over tha lake but that is about it. Food is subject to preferences and we won't be coming back to have that horrendous food. We ordered Caesar salad wich was nicely presented on the plate but they just simply dumped half of a bottle of some salad sauce and the chicken was atrocious (tasted old, just boiled in salted water). The other order was beef chilli with nachos wich was ok-ish but as a suggestion would be put the beef chilli in a bowl, the nachos in another bowl because it was just a shame that I could't get much out of the meal. The cheese became hard and was impossible to get the beef bits out. Unfortunately, we left the food on the plates. Staff couldn't be bothered to ask if any problem with the food but I commented on it. Won't be returning....ever.
