Me and my friends came here not so long ago and I was disgusted to say the least..This place had a cat roaming the kitchens, cat hair in my food, the waitress was very rude and the chef was very argusome with the other staff and when we was about to receive our food the waiter tripped on the stairs and fell face flat with all our food on the floor ….Do not recommend this at all when visiting Carlisle !!!

I’m not one to usually leave bad reviews but this was is a must! Got recommended this place by a friend while Visiting Carlisle as I’m not local to the area but the food and staff was horrendous!! And hygiene is a big issue there As there were cat roaming around the kitchen as food was being prepared i ask if I could cancel my order but staff were rude and intimidating! As they told me I could not cancel as the food was already prepared and cooked. Won’t be Visiting again avoid at all costs!

Unfortunately not a good experience and my partner and I were looking forward to eating here. The waitress seemed rushed off her feet, the food was bland, minimal and expensive for what was received. The overall hygiene of the dining plates, glasses, fixtures and tables wasn't up to standard. Disappointing and hoped for better.

Absolutely amazing went there for a friends birthday. Great atmosphere and the waitress Helena was so welcoming. Even gave us free shots afterward. Food was amazing will definitely be back again soon.

This is one of the top restaurants in Carlisle. Fantastic selection of pastas and pizzas at a reasonable price.Staff are always very attentive and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

I don’t know if I just came in on a bad day. There was only one waiter handling the whole service. It was clear that they were understaffed today, however, there was only a couple of tables other than myself and he was slow even by that standard.After about 10 minutes of being seated we waited to be served. He came back asking what we wanted but he hadn’t even present us with a menu.Our table was still dirty from the previous customers who dined so it needed a clean. The waiter came back with a spray and cloth and without warning, sprayed the table while mine and my family’s hands and arms were on the table with our phones. He managed to spray each and every one of us and our phones and other belongings we had on the table. Throughout this he didn’t say a word to us or give an apology.It was another 10 minutes waiting for our drinks and when we got them the coke that I received wasn’t cold so the ice melted within 5 minutes and diluted it. It wasn’t fizzy either.It took another 20 minutes before our food arrived and by now it’s been 40 minutes in a quiet restaurant, with us having only been served drinks. When served we found that they got one of the meals wrong but we didn’t want to wait any longer so we just ate what we had in front of us.The food was actually quite nice, which is the first positive thing I can say about this restaurant and the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars. I wouldn’t say it was good enough for me to want to go back again if it included the whole experience I had with it, it’s not worth it.If we’re taking about the food alone, it’s not bad. I’d have it again. To anyone who wants to try the food, I’d definitely recommend either takeout or delivery.

Popped in for lunch. Was not disappointed. Many traditional Italian dishes on offer. All freshly made. I have Chicken Picante, marinade chicken in a rich, spicy tomato sauce served with freshly made garlic bread. Absolutely delicious. I then had Norcina pasta, sausage, mushrooms, goats cheese in a creamy sauce. Superb. I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend it. There is another Italian next door, Franco's. It was closed. It makes look the more authentic of the two but trust me, Alex's Pasta is the real deal. Waiter/owner very nice. Polite, quick and friendly. Top marks!!

The food was OK.The coffee so so, but feel some training would help staff distinguish between different types of coffee. I asked for a flat white and got a very large strong coffee with minimal milk.There was also a large group of young men talking loudly about who they'd slept with. It would help if the young waitresses were assertive enough to know this was offensive to other customers.All of this considered, I wouldn't go back.
