A great find in a residential area. Staff went above and beyond to enable us to get a table on a busy Thursday night. Then very attentive without being obtrusive.Whilst there were seven TV's in the pub all showing football, don't be put off. The punters were all very respectful, no rowdiness or shouting. The food was good pub food, reasonably priced and well presented. The quiz that followed was good fun and made for a good atmosphere.

Went in for a couple Guinness. Had fun wee song and dance then off back to my air bnb. Pleasure being in ther locals really friendly but I have to remember to speak English because my Scottish is not really audible over the border lol. Anyone visiting Carlisle should deffo have a wee pit stop in

We had a party of 22 people and, having pre-ordered our meals, everything ran really smoothly. Our meals arrived promptly and all at the same time. The staff were friendly and helpful and everyone enjoyed their food. Excellent service.

Great pub with a great lively atmosphere. Staff were very nice and accommodating. I decided to have dinner there while having a pit stop from the Xmas shopping. However I was to go back for dinner with my son. They gave me a table, the last one. Then I changed the numbers of dinners to 3 and even though they didn't have a bigger table, they found a way to accommodate us. Finally, I asked if we could turn up 1 hour earlier BC our plans had changed again. Once we turned up for dinner the staff told me that there was a table of 6 becoming available in 5 minutes if we didn't mind waiting. The service was very good, the cost reasonable and the food was very tasty, however the burger was quite dry. Dog friendlyVegetarian options: Despite there being vegetarian and vegan food on the menu the selection is very limited.Parking: The pub itself hasn't got parking but quite a few places like the rugby club opposite and a few others have parking which is cheap.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp entrance for wheelchair access.

We cannot fault the staff and service at this place, we booked a twixmas break with family and booked here for one of the nights food. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond for us.
