I went here a few days back to back and tried many of there food options. All of them were good large portions that were cooked almost to perfection. While enjoying our food we were surrounded by an upbeat joyful atmosphere coupled with pleasent and engaging staff.
Very welcoming and friendly, live sports and children welcome. Food is excellent value and great range of real cask ales including 2x Kirkby Lonsdale, Swan blonde, Green King IPA, and Ghangly Ghoul when we visited.

We spent a weekend in Carlisle and found the pub to have very friendly staff, we were made to feel welcome on each of our visits. Good selection of beer and food available. it's well worth a visit.
