Staff exceptionally helpful. Parking directly behind hotel was handy and free. Dined on the first night and the meal came quickly and was fine. Breakfast well supplied. Good 2 night stay would recommend.Rooms: Clean and neat standard Ibis rooms.Walkability: Within 5 minutes of city centreFood & drinks: Small but adequate menu. Food came quickly.

I have stayed in the hotel on numerous occasions with no issues but this time I had items stolen from the room. Only person that had access or was in the room was the cleaner. I asked to speak to the Manager and was told that they were on holiday and the Duty Manager would not be there until the next afternoon. I reported it to the police myself as there was no Management available at the hotel and they are currently dealing with it . As far as I am concerned if a theft is reported the Management should make them self available to speak to the guests not leave it untill the guests have left the property. I called the hotel later the next day and the Duty Manager said he couldn't give me any information. The fact that I had to call the hotel to speak to a Manager is totally ridiculous. As far as I am concerned the Management should have contacted me as soon as they found out about this. There was zero customer service. I would advise anyone staying here to check all their belongings are in the room every time they return to it.

Room can be quite cold at times, especially when sitting near the window. Heating is also quite noisy, but not too bad.Nice touch with the complimentary earbuds for a more peaceful night. Kettle and tea/coffee is included in the room too.Great location, with it being next door to a gym (for which you can get a day pass), and free parking.Breakfast is okay; good choice of options available. Not the highest quality of food, however, but could be worse. Sauces are runny and taste cheap.Rooms aren't the cheapest, and I would expect them to be slightly cheaper for what you get.Room was clean enough but some slight damages. When staying over, I noticed one room was missing a headboard, and the water pressure was not good at all. Rooms also had slight damages and imperfections, e.g. light switches being cracked.WiFi is, simply, horrendous. It barely reaches the rooms; Netflix works fine but other content can take a while (e.g. YouTube/BBC iPlayer).Walls were fairly thin too, with noises travelling from other rooms and the corridor.24/7 pizza is available, but extra toppings cost more. The staff service and location are the only things which bring this review up slightly. Staff are really quite excellent!Overall, I would recommend the hotel as an okay place to stay for an evening or two - it does the job, but it's not somewhere to be expecting caviar and canapés. It really isn't the highest quality, but, as previously said, it does the job.Walkability: Not a far walk at all to pubs and to town

Stayed here on a recent visit to Carlisle. The rooms are clean and tidy, fairly basic but comfortable. The staff were also friendly, though the breakfast at £12 is considerably more expensive than Premier Inn.Nearby activities: Right in the city centre near the shop, cathedral and castle.
