Fantastic selections of gins and cocktails including specials. Would recommend the Mango Passion and Old Fashioned. Lovely atmosphere.

Had 2 lovely nights stay here. A beautiful room and bathroom. Designed perfectly. Both rooms spotlessly clean. Easy access via a number pad. Number code sent by email a few days before. Situated in a good place in centre. Lots of shops, pubs , restaurants. Breakfast served at local cafe, lovely breakfast and staff. Couldn’t have asked for more. Definitely would visit again.

Really enjoyed our two nights, most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in !!! Spotlessly clean and perfectly situated for access to town centre. The café which served the breakfast was excellent, good selection of delicious food but be warned … it was very busy, we had to queue to get in on the Sunday. Car parking was very easy too. Hope to go back one day !!

We booked one night here at the end of a short break to visit family in Cumbria. It was our anniversary, so we thought we qould have a treat after a few days in a travelodge. The self check in was very straightforward and all explained in messages leading up to our stay. The key pad entry is great and saves the worry of looking after a key! The best bits: We were in room 3 on the ground floor and on accessing by using the keypad, entered into a small hallway with 2 doors. One to the bedroom and one to a huge, beautiful bathroom with an amazing shower and large fluffy white towels. The decor is a mix of modern and traditional which really works! The bedroom was a good size. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable with the best pillows! I didn't want to get up in the morning. The tea tray is great with proper coffee bags which I love and a good selection of teas. Nice mugs, proper wine glasses and a corkscrew. I really liked the decor and colour scheme and the 2 fans were a great addition. Breakfast was included and taken at Vee Va Cafe, just a couple of doors down. Absolutely amazing breakfast. The best we've had in years. Free parking is included and only a very short walk away. Communication with the hosts was really good. What could be better? First impressions on entering were some significant scuff marks on the paintwork, which made it look a bit grubby. The very light coloured carpet also had quite a few dirty marks, which was a shame. There was only one chair, so one person had to sit on the bed - I felt there was room for 2. The floating shelves at either side of the bed were a great size, but very slightly slanted. Looked out at the side of another building into what seemed to be an office with someone sat at a desk - we drew the curtains for privacy. Unfortunately we could hear every movement from the room above - footsteps, doors opening and closing at 4am (Think we all got up for toilet trips)! None of these things would stop us from returning, but a few little tweaks could make it even lovelier. No noise from the gin bar as it is closed on Monday, but I would love to return again and check it out. All in all, a really lovely stay and I would have liked to have been there longer.

Fantastic place, the photos don't make justice of how beautiful our room was ! Very comfortable bed, room was clean and tidy, kettle was clean and descaled and the bathroom was very spacious and has a lovely design. The room definitely has character, we stayed in the superior king room. Breakfast was amazing at the café, 2 min away, with a great choice of food and drinks. Overall, I definitely recommend and I would stay again in the future.

Lovely little hidden gem, couldn't find it at all with Google maps ....... until I saw it hidden away. Staff were really friendly and accommodating and very reasonably priced drinks. Will definitely be visiting again.

We have stayed here twice now & would probably stay again in the hope for a top floor room. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy beds, lovely decor throughout. First time we stayed it was a middle room, no street noise etc but could hear the people above talking & stomping about the place. Second time was a ground floor room above the Tithe Tap- we were prewarned that you can hear low music which stops at 11pm, 10.55pm there was silence which was great & it was a Saturday night! However 6am came around and the people in the room above could be heard very loudly, sounded like they were moving furniture around! Banging, toilet flushing etc. Such a beautiful place but it is a shame that the soundproofing is minimal.

Very comfortable and well-appointed room. The shower room was spacious and very clean. Conveniences store, bars along with places to eat within easy walking distance. The car park is a few minutes' walk from the hotel. I can understand why this hotel attracts positive reviews.
