Had a few days in Cockermouth between Christmas and New Year. We stayed at the Tithe Barn Inn Hotel who provide a breakfast service via the Veeva Cafe just a few metres down the road. We weren’t expecting much but were wonderfully surprised by everything at Veeva, the welcome, the surroundings, and most importantly the quality of the food and drinks. All topped off with fantastic energy and customer service. 5 Stars all day long! ?

We came to VeeVa on Saturday the 18th November. The cafe was recommended to us by a local resident. It’s always a good sign when you have to wait for a table even at breakfast time. We quickly got seated at a table after a small wait. We decided to have a full breakfast & myself a gluten free Hash brown & bacon sandwich. Both arrived freshly prepared & delicious. Would highly recommend. All of staff were fabulous checking to see if everything was ok for us & being very much on the ball. The young man who served us was ever so polite & nothing was too much trouble for him. We were very impressed with his attitude to work & he is a credit to the business.

Came here for breakfast with my two boys. Food was really delicious and the boys loved their food. One had pancakes and warm Nutella and myself and other son had English breakfasts...perfect portion sizes. Brilliant, friendly staff. Each section cleaned and hoovered before next customers were sat. Will definitely return when I'm back in the lakes! Thank you for a great breakfast ?

Cannot fault the food here. We had breakfast two days in a row and each and every part of the meal was well prepared, fresh and juicy. The staff were very friendly and polite, especially the young chap (forgot his name). It looks like a very popular place for food and even though we had to wait to be seated on the first day, it wasn’t that long of a while until we were seated.

The full English breakfast was really nice. You got what you paid for unlike some places where you just get 1 of everything. The staff were really nice and friendly. I have a dairy intolerance and the staff went out the way to make sure my requirements were catered for, without making me feel uncomfortable. We will definitely be coming here again on our next trip out to the lakes

First time visiting VeeVa and it was well worth it! Staff were really friendly and helpful, we were booked in for breakfast at 9.30am. We finished our breakfast which was delicious 5* And the queue of local people waiting outside by 10am was incredible, really positive experience highly
Very busy on a Saturday morning. But we got a table . The food and service were superb. Shame we were on visiting Cockermouth. ??

Probably one of THE best breakfasts we have ever had (and we travel a LOT)! Excellent friendly service, top quality food and amazing value! I had the mini breakfast for £7.50 which was a really decent size! The cafe itself is lovely decor and super quick service! Our friends also visited for 3 days as they were staying in nearby hotel and also loved it! Thank you

Lovely little Cafe. Excellent staff. I regularly visit, this time it was for lunch. Salads all fresh and well presented and the Welsh Rarebit is the best I have ever tasted. It never fails. Very popular, so at busy times you may have a short wait but tables are quickly cleaned and reset. Not to be missed.
