What a great find! A very welcoming place with lots of atmosphere. Menu is classic pub food and nicely done, service was prompt, good selection of drinks and a well kept pint. Very glad we had booked as every seat was taken. We will definitely return.

Excellent well managed pub. Old world charm mixed with an up to date decor. Good food and drinks. Cosy fire if it's cold, and tables outside if it's warm.Booked a table in advance due to a busy Easter holiday. Child and dog friendly. Highly recommended.Parking: Limited spaces

Great food, shame about the grumpy bar lady that got my order wrong that didn't have a good attitude.Back 2 years later and all is forgiven, very friendly staff, mega food and the place is really nicely decorated. Well worth a visit. It's a cracking view too ?

Just had the most amazing steak, lovely, nicest I have had in a long time. Family had cod & chips and Cajun pasta with prawns. Both delicious. Great place to visit. ?

Called into this pub with our 2 dogs on the way back into coniston, been here many times in the past. Noticed whilst walking up to the pub that a few things had changed. Once inside it was a completely different to the last time we were here, for the good I may add. All had just been refurbished to a lovely standard. Spoke to the landlord and he was a really nice fella. Very cosy and good beer, definitely worth a visit £10.50 for a Madri and a Loweswater gold.. Good value for the area. See you in the summer!
