Easy check-in and out, decent bathrooms and comfy beds. The bar and restaurant can get quite busy but there's plenty of other places in the village. Overall a great weekend.

Herdwicks Cafe
Yewdale Rd, ConistonA great little cafe situated in Coniston. Dog friendly and most importantly people friendly. Staff were very polite and accommodating, allowing me to switch out mushrooms for extra baked beans which was greatly appreciated. We didn’t have to wait long at all until the food and drinks arrived. Food was delicious and makes the perfect pit stop after a long hike. Loved the pictures of Dogs on the wall, truly lovely.
Would highly recommend to anyone who visits Coniston.

12 Lake Rd, ConistonWe had a delicious bacon buttie here! The cafe is clean and spacious and all the staff were friendly. There are great view of the lake too. Definately worth a visit!

Bank Ground Farm East of the Lake, ConistonAbsolutely amazing! The views over Coniston lake are beautiful, the cottage was very comfortable and all the staff are all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The Terrace Coffee House and Restaurant
Coach House East of Lake, ConistonA very welcoming cafe, staff were great, nice and warm in winter or have your coffee outside with the great view. The entrance is down the right side of the building. Huge range of amazing cakes. Will stop in when I am cycling around Coniston lake.

Lake Rd, ConistonFish n chips as a treat, wandered down to coniston shore and ate them with a beer - fantastic! Fish cooked fresh, lovely thick piece of haddock and great chips - highly recommend.

Torver, ConistonA lovely long weekend trip with my partner. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back. Friendly, excellent food, good choice of drinks, great service, characterful cozy rooms and good value. Great location for walks. Fabulous breakfast. Hope to return soon!

1 Yewdale Rd, ConistonWe had Sunday lunch here during our stay in Coniston. Firstly, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The food was fantastic, especially the pork loin which was moist and there plenty of it! The veg was equally as good and much getter then the usual pub veg. We had creamy mash, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese topped with crispy onions, parsnip, mashed carrot and swede, Brussels sprouts, peas and cabbage. All for £22 and delicious! Definitely recommended.

2 Yewdale Rd, ConistonAfter a big 20k hike ticking off a few wainwrights this fish a chips and alcohol free cider did the trick! Very nice place friendly staff food didn’t take too long even though was a very sunny busy day. Sat in the beer garden in the sun watching the world go by
