Had a fantastic time at this traditional pub on Saturday with such a fantastic atmosphere great cask ales whisky to wonder at just drink there are so many it must be a world of opportunity for those who enjoy the tipple.Wonderful Band on tooWill come again suggest you visit to. We came over for a football match at Kendal Town and was invited by Phil to pop in his pub after the game, Phil went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and part of a special atmosphere, great beers, great band and only round the corner from where we were staying at the Premier Inn. Can’t thank Phil enough for the welcome.

Really nice place. Far better inside than out. If you like whiskey this place has a great selection. Nice local ales on. Barman very friendly and knowledgeable.

Visiting Kendal for a couple of nights and looked up pubs doing a quiz. We saw that The New Union was listed. We were pleasantly surprised how warm and welcoming it was. Didn't do well in the quiz but thoroughly enjoyed it. Will certainly be returning.
