Best Wetherspoons in Cumbria….

This is good but not as great as Chester Wetherspoons. Even though it was quiet, tables weren't cleared and drinks were slow to arrive. Compare this with our experiences at Chester a couple of weeks before where it was busy and yet food and drink was quick and tables were cleared so quickly.

I know I have reviewed here before but the review of this old Police Station and Court has vanished. Fairly busy on a Tuesday afternoon and plenty of tables need clearing. The locals queue to be served which is fair but not common in UK pubs. Good selection of real ales and ciders. Usual great value, especially with a 50p off CAMRA voucher. Flic and Ic on first visit here. Having a " real lager." An Oxymoron? Lots of separate rooms.

So what you have to realise is that there is a reason why we need Wetherspoons to keep on going. It's a meal and a drink for an extremely good price, with no blaring music giving your ears a workout. For older people it's a quiet place to meet friends and chat with coffee and not be rushed to leave.Today I had a delicious pizza and soft drink, served with a smile. Hubby had double cheeseburger and a pint, he didn't complain. What's not to like.Thankyou Wetherspoons Keswick

Ok, we all know why people go to weatherspoon's, the same drinks much cheaper. Very interesting old building, somewhat spread out seating and beer the price it should be.

Another good weatherspoons pub, they are good at turning different venues into pubs or old cinemas in this case the old magistrates court complete with cellsCheap prices and plenty of guest beers to try.Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed in Upton 9.00
