Popped in as a six wit two toddlers today. Super nice staff, offered us toys from their collection to keep the kiddies happy. Ordered some sandwiches and chips between us all and couldn't fault the food.Decor is a bit dated but it absolutely did the job!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly I think!

I went here on Sunday morning just before 10am for breakfast. The place was cold, no heating (the server had a fleece jacket, so I'm sure that she was an okay temperature).I asked whether they would do a slice of fried bread with the breakfast (for an extra charge), but the answer was no (why ever not, we were the only people in the place, so not busy and could have made some more money AND probably got a slightly better review)The decor was a bit naff to be honest, with the artex ceiling.I didn't like all of the signs around. We'd obviously finished breakfast and wanted the bill (and at least the table clearing) but the server just kept looking at us, we smiled a few times but eventually had to yell across the place for the bill.... We dare not go to the counter to pay as there was a big sign saying, "Only serving staff at the counter".The food was okay but why would they serve a potato waffle with the breakfast? Also, they need to serve Yorkshire Tea, everyone knows that it's the best.

Love this little restaurant and pop in when we’re in Keswick. However, tried yesterday, Monday, and it was closed, that’s absolutely fine we understand it could be too quiet on a Monday to be worthwhile opening, it could be closed during January when it’s quieter or due to illness, the problem is there are no signs to say when it is open, we thought we may be too early so wandered around then went back, still closed. A simple sign giving opening times would be great Ps went elsewhere, nowhere near as good

Breakfast sandwich and eggs on toast couldn't be faulted. The menu states that you can add extras to the order. When I asked for mushrooms the lady taking the order rolled her eyes and complied after I pointed to the menu. A little later, another customer using the loo asked for toilet roll and was told to move away from the hatch as she was blocking it off and "how can I replace it with you standing there?" Another lady came out and she also had a go at the customer. In the mean time, there was more rolling of eyes and slamming down of note pads by the first lady. All in front of a near full cafe. I told the owner she needed to work on her people skills and was told, and I kid you not "We're busy"???

Unlike another comment on here, we found the cafe delightful. The staff were so pleasant, so much so, we came back and had a lovely meal and the waitress even remembered that we didn't need sugar as we were sweet enough, my comment on the previous visit.Go to the cafe and enjoy

Where to start...I am not typically one for writing reviews on google but frankly it feels criminal not to report the absolute abhorrent state of this place. The Honey Pot Cafe was a bitter disappointment in every aspect. The coffee tasted like diluted water, and the food was bland like wax. The service was slow and indifferent, while the dated decor added to the uninviting atmosphere. Save yourself the trouble and buzz away from this lackluster hive of disappointment.

I’d give 0 if it was at all possible. AVOID THIS PLACE, it shouldn’t even be called a restaurant. Arrived at honey pot the staff are not polite or welcoming, I questioned whether I could add beans on the breakfast as it states on the menu swaps aren’t allowed but additional items can be purchased. To be greeted with the chef with say no. Our drinks arrived, £2.50 for a small class of flat coke is ridiculous. Then when the food arrived no one wanted to eat it, my son went for the cheese pizza, the bottom of the pizza was pale and the cheese had just congealed into a yellow lump on the top. He tried to eat it but really struggled because it was sheerly disgusting, my husband also tried this but couldn’t eat it either. The breakfast was barely edible and a ridiculous charge for what you receive. When asking for the bill quickly as we wanted to leave and everyone had started to feel sick the lady serving us wasn’t polite at all. I explained to her about the food, she wasn’t surprised at all just said oh and she will pass our comments along. A short while after this both my husband and son become ill and have since been sick for two days following the pizza and undercooked sausages. I phoned the honey pot cafe, the staff weren’t bothered or interested in listening and just offered my money back. When going to collect my refund the lady with brown hair behind the counter was so beyond rude. Pulled a face towards me and said she had no other complaints and shoved the money on the desk. There’s a reason no customers are allowed near the counter it’s due to being able to see the despicable things happening in the kitchen. Don’t go here, the staff are rude and the food is disgusting. No amount is worth the food poisoning, and the staff didn’t care at all.

Lovely looking little cafe, food was decent, plenty of options. 30 minute wait for breakfast without prior warning which wasn't great but when it came we did enjoy it. Only downfall is the staff. No pleasantries, no smiling faces, as if they didn't want customers!

We were wanting breakfast. They were accommodating for menu swaps for allergies despite being really busy.Breakfast was okay, everage for the price (waffles were mini frozen type waffles)I was most disappointed that the sausage bap (a rather large bap!) Only had one sausage in it. I queried this thinking they had forgotten the second sausage, and was explained that it was a very expensive good quality Cumberland sausage. 5.75 for one sausage in a bap? I wouldn't go back sorry. Had many a sausage bap before, and this was bad in my opinion.Kid-friendliness: There were some nice wooden toys for younger kids

We had lunch here and the food was good and reasonably priced. The staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. We were very pleased with the service and would visit again when in the area.

Easily accessible cafe that caters for all tastes. We visited twice for coffee, I was delighted to be able to have decaffeinated latte and Cappuccinos. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
