Such a great pub and restaurant.Annalise was such a great host and made us both feel welcome and told us all about the days menu and offers. There is a great selection of beers and the food is excellent. I got the self build burger which was freshly made by Kate the chef and was incredible. My wife got the prawn cocktail which was so tasty and the biggest portion we’ve ever had.A super friendly pub with great food and great beer. Our 2nd visit on night two was exactly the same. Excellent food, service and beer. Thank you.

Family meal. Would have rated higher but it was very cold, we all kept our coats on. Very old building with very narrow seating in alcoves.Food & drinks: Food was good.

What can I say? What a pub. Fantastic place to stay; eat and drink. Staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Stayed for my partners birthday, and they left a little present in our bedroom. Partner was really made up. Will definitely be going back later in the year. Would highly recommend it to anyone.Mr MorrisRooms: A few to choose from and all satisfactory.Walkability: 2 mins walk from centre.Food & drinks: Food is really good value, and you get lots for your money.Sells the usual drinks; but also has its own Kirkby Lonsdale brewery drinks fantastic. They are linked to the Royal Barn in the village, too, which is a great place to visit

Lovely friendly staff. Very accommodating. Dog friendly. Food was delicious. Definitely will return.Food & drinks: Good food and drinks. We all had the ciabattas which were nice. Two had chilli, very tasty. One ham egg and chips and one fish and d chips. All good.
We had a fabulous evening meal here. Great portions.1 scampi, 1 lasagne & 1 mixed grill for two.

The first time here, Tuesday afternoon, empty but gentleman behind the bar was very friendly.Nice decor in old pub, lots of rugby ? pictures which we like.We have not tried food, but all in all, it's a good stop off point.Safety: Everywhere safe near hereWalkability: Central, next to church.
