The best pub/hotel we've ever stayed in. Attention to detail was above and beyond regarding quality, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, and even having a Welly rack to loan wellies for puddle jumping whilst exploring the area in inclement weather.Jenny was very welcoming, and the young gentleman checking us in (sorry, forgot your name) was efficient and polite.The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable, and I defy anyone not to have a great night's sleep.We stayed in room...read full review

My wife and I stayed in room 6, which was a well-appointed room and very clean. We dined both nights and were very pleased with the quality. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Clearly the owners take pride in their product, and the inn has a superior feel to it when compared with similar establishments in Kirkby Lonsdale. Gem of a pub in the heart of the beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale. Stayed 1 night during our 3 week driving holiday around the UK staying at 5 star hotels along the way. Rooms are well appointed and presented beautifully. We chose a room with a King Size bed which was very comfortable. Room was quite large which is unusual for many pub accommodation offerings. Could not fault our stay and would highly recommend.
