We visited while on holiday in the Lakes and wasn't disappointed. It was nice to see an aquarium with local fish for change compared to fish from all over. (I don't have many photos on this device, so excuse the lack of local fish pics) But even seeing Chups, Perch and Greater/Lesser spotted sharks was fascinating, especially with all the friendly and very knowledgeable staff giving talks about the fish throughout the aquarium.Defiantly worth a visit, they've got a lovely cafe...read full review

Visited today with our 3 little ones, they absolutely loved it! Welcomed and served straight away by a lovely down to earth lady. Fish were all amazing to look at, was also a lovely man that clearly loved and was very enthusiastic about his job which is nice to see, he showed us some ready to hatch sharks, was an amazing new experience! Highly recommend visiting, more than enough to fill in time, mini golf was included and also a great little park. Kids enjoyed it so much ?

Nice place to visit, parking isn't free. It's quite a small place so it can be done in 10 minutes flat, this also means that when it's busy it is cramped and hot. But there is a good variety of sealife to learn about. Obviously you are more than able to spend the day here if you so wish, I personally didn't opt to play the mini golf therefore it shaved some time off my visit.
