The Plough Inn is a very welcoming Pub/B&B in the charming small village of Wreay. We stayed in a very tastefully decorated and furnished room with a kingsize bed which had just been refurbished (we were the first ones to stay and other rooms are currently being upgraded) As expected everything was very clean and new in the room. We had the most amazing family meet up lunch here ! I called ahead to book as we were a party of 8, happened to speak with the chef who was understanding that as it was a birthday surprise- we didn’t have to pre-order. The atmosphere as we walked in was warm and friendly with very helpful staff at the bar. We were not rushed to order and when we did the menu did not disappoint. We visited this pub today to meet family for lunch. The food is gorgeous and a lot of it. Every dish we had (there was 8 of us) was just fantastic and so tasty. The fish is amazing, the kids loved the fish pie. A brilliant find and we will definitely be back again. The cosy wood burner fire was lovely too.
