A work in progress. A bit rough around the edges, but a good place to spend a dry night, out of the rain.The host was super! A really likable guy who gave us a mini-education about sheep.Bunkhouse in a basement with four single beds. Kitchen needs a bit of work, but is functional. Frozen meals available in a freezer that can be heated in an available microwave oven.Host delivered a good breakfast.Coffee, tea, etc., available on the honor system.Right on the Coast to Coast trail....read full review

I’ve walked the Coast to Coast twice now, in 2019 and then recently in June 2022 and I highly rate this little honesty shop. Well stocked and at a welcome point for a rest on the route.

This was one of the most amazing campsites I've been to especially for people who are looking for some privacy. The land owner has a house on 100 yards and has all the facilities set up except showers.Would suggest this one if you are a beginner and looking to camp in Penrith.
