Great stay. Lovely big room with nice view. Really great shower & bath - very high pressure & masses of very hot water. Lovely big bed. Excellent dinner - both the main course & dessert were really lovely. Breakfast was nice, but it was disappointing to discover that you could get the same breakfast (but more of it) for a cheaper price over the road at the services. Not your usual hotel at a services, really nice and away from the services so no vehicle noise.The room was clean and adequate for our needs.Bathroom - no extractor fan so mirror steamed up and stayed steamed and this accounts for the blackening around the shower.Mum wasn't impressed with the 'hum' that was a constant throughout our stay,(rm41) and very little soundproofing between rooms as our neighbours were slightly inconsiderate with banging doors and an alarm that apparently...read full review
I stayed here for 1 night enroute back from Scotland. Arrived just before the restaurant closed and the very attentive staff managed to find me a table for a 2 course meal and a beer. Lovely setting, lovely lounge to sit and read a book and a well appointed room. Excellent veggie breakfast and I was on my way. Great location, great facilities. Highly recommendedFood & drinks: Excellent menu choices.
