Brilliant friendly pub, can be noisy at the bar, but that's because it's so popular. They provide some excellent meals, yes if its busy, may be delays, but otherwise worth the wait.Staff are extremely helpful and polite.A little jewel of a place, would certainly recommend.

Not the best. Not the worst. Had to wait over an hour for very average food. When we paid we realised that we had been overcharged. Annoying but did get an apology No personal touch, no warmth….. maybe an off day but I’d not go back!

Beds are comfy and the breakfast is lovely. Shower wasn't the best but really nice place and staff are friendly and welcoming.

I've had a couple of stays here and enjoyed them. It's convenient for the train station and exploring the coast.

When I checked in and went to my room, it was freezing cold. It felt like the heating hadn't been on for a while. After mentioning it to the staff member, it was then switched on. It took a long time to heat the room as it was so big. Breakfast was great and friendly staff.

My room (number 1), a twin room, was itself clean, warm, and comfortable. The ensuite was very cold. The old building and the location at the top of the main access stairs unfortunately meant it was very noisy. The lack of WiFi out with public areas was a definite negative. Staff were lovely.

We stayed for 4 nights whilst in the area and had a mixed bag of feelings about this establishment. Whilst the staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful, they are somewhat let down by the establishment even though "it is an old building" (the managers excuse for many things). We initially put in room 6 which has a emergency exit sign above the door that illuminates the room throughout the night bright green, so don't expect to get a good night's sleep unless you've brought an eye mask. But when they could they transferred us to another room that was much better and we would have slept soundly throughout the night but were disturbed by a fire alarm on both remaining nights, the first at 2am without any staff attendance for over 40 minutes. We even had to call the fire brigade so that the alarm could checked out.But back to more enjoyable experiences of our stay. We had dinner during our stay and it was good to see that the menu was properly labelled showing where things were dairy-free, as I am dairy intolerant. The food was very nice and well presented. It arrived in a timely manner, nice and hot, and tasted really good.Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was the highlight of our stay as we got to meet Katie who served us our breakfasts. She is an absolute legend and she truly is the best thing about the Manor. Even after our disturbed night due to the fire alarm she managed to brighten up our moods and day, and set us off with a spring in our step.I would say though all the staff were very approachable and helpful. We were in the area house hunting and they were able to give us information about the different areas that would have taken us ages to find out for ourselves. So I really would like to say thank you to all of them.

We had a group of 14 so we pre-ordered meals at the request of the restaurant. Everything was delivered piping hot and very tasty. Service was homey & efficient. Absolutely loved the halloumi fries. Steak & Ale pies plus soup of the day were also a big hit. Wine menu was short & sweet with a reasonable price point.

Rooms are run down and in next of a good scrubbing! Bedding was clean though and the evening meal was fantastic. The food is definitely what they're focussed on. Breakfast was a bit of a let down though. Friendly staff.Food & drinks: The evening meal was amazing. Very tasty and good prices.Breakfast was a let down. Poor quality sausages and there wasn't much of it. It was included in the room price though.
