A busy restaurant, and for a good reason . The staff were professional, the food was excellent and the restaurant deco was nice.

We had a lovely evening, food was excellent as was the service. Our table was situated in the less cramped side of the restaurant and felt comfortable and airy. The lady who has worked there for some years continues to be an excellent hostess. We had a great evening and will definatly go back again. One slight issue was that we had our table booked for 6.30 and had a great time but we were moved from our table before dessert and coffee as the they needed our table for another booking. In future we would like to know we only had the table until 8pm or conversely we would expect to have the table for the entire night as we are good customers and dont scimp on the spending or the tips!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night with really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The mocktails and cocktails were really nice and the place was very welcoming. All of the food was well presented and tasty. The favourite for us being the prawns which were exceptional. Overall a great place to eat and would highly recommend.

A lovely meal. Good range of dishes - vegetarian, fish and meat. Everything really tasty and catered well for gluten free. Service was very efficient and friendly.

Lovely food & staff but won’t be returning since the management have made the decision to go cashless.

I've spent the last 30 years eating and travelling the world so can confidently say that I know my Restaurants by now. I've eaten at La'l Churrasco 3 times and if I was to award it marks out of 10 it would have to be 10/10 for the food , 10/10 Ambience and 10/10 for service. It really is that good. Every town needs a place like this and I can't wait to return for more.

We had a family visit in June. Dishes were imaginative, perfectly cooked, with interesting flavours and substantial. Staff was helpful and attentive. Lovely addition to Ulverston culinary scene. Highly recommended!

Excellent! We arrived at our table to be greeted by a bottle of water, waiting for us. The Manager came over and knew that one of us was gluten free. The menu and options (including gluten free) were explained very well, the food came in phases as it should, and was superb. Price was decent too, with plenty of drinks options.

We stopped by on a Friday night with no reservations. The staff were exceptionally helpful and were able to seat our party of 4. It was our first time there, and we loved it. The food was fabulous. Looking forward to going back!

Recently opened for lunch, food delish, service sublime. We had the Pork Belly bites, highly recommended, calamari rings, patatas bravas, Barcelona bikini toasties, very tasty ? followed with Orange & Almond cake, with coffee, all washed down with a lovely Rioja white. Such a lovely lunch. Thank you Lal Churrasco ? See you soon xxx

We visited while holidaying in the area and had a really tasty meal here. They were very accommodating of our 3 year old and all the food we ordered was delicious. We also had 2 of their non alcoholic cocktails which were very tasty and inventive too.We had the bread and dip board which had 3 very tasty dips and some oil and vinegar, olives (served warm which is something I've never had before and were extremely tasty), falafel which were served on a bed of pickled vegetables and were delicious, pulled pork with mojo rojo - absolutely gorgeous, wrinkled potatoes with garlic sour cream (divine) and chorizo with red onion which was melt in the mouth. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. My only constructive feedback would be that the menu is very limiting for vegetarians. I am not vegetarian though prefer to not eat meat but my parents are vegetarian and I would not bring them here as their options are very limited, especially as my mum is unable to eat chillies (and at least 1 of the 3 vegetarian options had chillies in it). I did ask whether the vegetarian offering was ever expanded on and was told that they've never had a problem with vegetarians but I suspect that's more because vegetarians choose not to eat there having seen the sample menu rather than anything else. It's unfortunate as it would be very easy to add a few vegetarian options (a cheese board in place of charcuterie for instance, a good old Spanish tortilla and some grilled vegetables etc.) and I think it would make it easier for people who are vegetarian or have vegetarians in their party to choose to eat here.

As a parent, having the opportunity to dine out as a couple is hard! But L’al is our go to every time! The food is always unbelievably good, the staff are accommodating and always give that little bit extra to make you feel special. The cocktails are unmatched, none of this half assed bull **** other places offer. Our food came down at the perfect pace, each dish explained beautifully by our waitress. Each course was unique and bursting with seasonal freshness. An all round beautiful evening, and so worth the money! You really do get what you pay for, fantastic quality and realistically priced! Thanks again for a wonderful evening, we can’t wait to return for the lunchtime menu! An absolute hidden gem in the heart of the Lake District. ***all pics included feature empty plates, once you’ve been you will understand why! #sexyassgrub
