Last visited February 2024.I was driving from Manchester to Edinburgh, so I thought I'd stop for a quick lunch.Service was quick and so was the food.Would have loved to try a pint but had a drive ahead of me.Nice meal. Place was a little off track but guess that was what I was looking for.
If you’re around this area, you must pop in to this lovely establishment. We were greeted by the lovely Ruby who was so friendly and helpful. She couldn’t do enough for us. She sat us at a lovely cosy table next to the fire and helped us choose our drinks then brought them to us with a big smile. After looking at the menu we chose to have the rump steak baguette… it was delicious!! We ordered an extra side of tempura pickled onions and both my husband and I were blown away...read full review

Lovely little pub we booked for husbands birthday. Menu read good however some options weren't available as the menu was changing. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Food quality was good. Bit of a different swing on a sundae from the dessert menu but we went with it.
