Called on the off chance for food as we were passing, warm welcome by staff.. Food was lovely, we had Steak pie and Cumberland Sausage, all very fresh, hot and tasty - will definitely call again soon.

We were staying at local campsite so decided to call in hoping to get some food. We werent disappointed, what a lovely friendly place. The food choice was great and the portions too big for me but the husband had a good go. The food is just good wholesome, homecookes food which you cannot fault. The owners are so friendly and even to the point I left my very expensive jacket on the first night and when we returned for more food on the second night, it had been put to one side and when we entered, the dark haired lady asked me if it was mine. That to me says how lovelt they are and honest. The second night we even joined in the local pub quiz and were made to feel welcome by the locals. This is a truely lovely pub and we will return when staying up the road. Just really nice food and atmosphere. Even the young waitress was really friendly.Parking: Plently of spaceKid-friendliness: They were warm and friendly to the children who were in the pub and offer childrens meals

We just had a great meal here. It's one of the nicest steaks I've had in a long time. Like others have said, the portions are good, and the price is good. I spoke to the Cook, and I had to put him right he was a chef with the food he just served. Thank you.
