Bought the the movie deal so went to the cinema then to restaurant for meal. I really wasn’t expecting the quality of the meal we had absolutely delicious the soup was best we’ve had and the garlic mushrooms with chorizo was so tasty!! We’ve been coming to Bowness for years and this is our first but definitely not our last visit to Beresfords! Food nearer the lake is overpriced and not great in our opinion . This was reasonably priced and really good! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Had our staff Xmas do here for the 3rd time. We absolute love the place. Warm welcome and staff were great. We went downstairs to the bar for drinks before dinner. The bar was warm and welcoming with Xmas music on. We went upstairs to the restaurant where the staff Michelle and Marion greeted us and showed us to our table . The food was excellent from the starters to the dessert . We had already pre ordered our meals from prawncocktail to roast turkey. Even had extra Brussel sprouts my favourite.We had a choice of wine on the table . Couldn’t fault the night at all. After our meal we went back down to the bar to carry on partying and drinking.Thank you all for making our Xmas party another one to remember

Lovely food and excellent service. We went early so it was quiet but there was the added value of the early dining offer.
We decided to visit on a whim, and we are glad we did. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Not to mention the food is absolutely top notchParking: If you visit at a busier time you may find it difficult to get parked, however it is only about a 20min walk from Windermere centre

Firstly, the food here was fantastic. We are vegan so we're thrilled to have options for every course and these were all excellent, well presented, tasty and well thought out. I enjoyed my meal immensely and it was excellent value for money.We booked the cinema meal deal not realising we would end up running much later then planned. The restaurant were amazing, so chilled about us being an hour late (!), hurried our order out super quick in order to ensure we could get to the cinema in time, and were efficient and friendly. The service was exceptional.I would highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options, well labelled and available for all courses.

We have visited the Beresford a number of times during our visits to the lake district and I can’t recommend the place enough. The food is absolutely fabulous, very well cooked and presented. We will be back during our next visit to Bowness.

What a great find, popped into this place because they had an early bird menu sign outside which looked like good value. The inside is charming. We were given a warm welcome and our drink order was taken immediately, food was then ordered from a good varied menu, I had the vegetarian lasagne and hubby had the medium chicken curry, food came quickly and was excellent. We followed that with two huge portions of arguably the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever had. Would definitely recommend it and will be eating there on our next visit for sure.
