Highly recommended this place, been here for 4 years and every time never disappointed. Have got to know the staff as extremely friendly, Jasmine, Marcos, Kamil, Xavier .The scenery is unbelievable. Sitting on the patio looking over the lake is absolutely amazing and so chilled and relaxed. Henrock is attached to the hotel and would recommend booking this when you book the hotel as it gets busy and the food is 5 star. Highly recommended.

Service poor - had to be asked almost every time for thingsWaitress bumped into my daughter who spilled cocktail on table and she was not even offered a replacement . Coffees ordered never came and still charged for themStarters underwhelming - aubergine was basically a pile of slosh .Lamb belly was goodEel was passable tooPortions minutely small all roundCod was okay but tinyPork dish over saltedDessert was okay but nothing spectacularThis was on Boxing Day and was busy but this is not a cheap meal and really was poor all round .Commendable approach to dietary requirements though . Would not return nor recommend but maybe they were having an off night

My husband took me here for my 30th birthday and we had the most incredible meal, mostly recommended by a fantastic and experienced member of staff, Anna. All I can say is, wow! Unbeatable service and experience.Great for special occasions.We arrived and were greeted by host in the balcony, who happily offered to take our pictures and lead us to our table. The host knew our name and the special occasion we were celebrating without having to confirm our name/occasion.The waiter was knowledgeable about the dishes and shared its journey with us, making the experience very exciting. The waiter remembered the order and didn’t need to confirm.The table was frequently cleaned after each course, cutlery changed according to each meal and drinks were refilled.We were the last guests in the restaurant and did not feel rushed at all by the staff. Instead they were patient and allowed us privacy rather than constantly monitoring us.When the bill arrived, it was beautifully presented.Memorable experience. Thank you for having us Henrock.

I mean, it's Simon Rogan, so the food will be great, right? Yes, it is. The service will be great, right? Yes, it is. Their wine list will be great, right? Oh, it absolutely is! It is all of these things. The setting, however, is a bit special: Linthwaite House sits on a hilltop overlooking Lake Windermere, which - as everybody will rightly tell you - is simply stunning!And, finally, a small anecdote: our first visit there was during the height of Covid angst. We were traveling through and just wanted to grab a quick bite (they offered a bar menu served on the terrace only). As we were driving, I only had a glimpse at the wine list and spotted a pretty special Riesling, available - obviously - only by the bottle *sigh*. Alas, the friendly sommelier produced a nice contraption allowing us to re-seal the rest of the bottle for us to take away. Going the extra step. As Rogan's folks do. Even on a hilltop during Covid.
