Visited Windermere yesterday and was looking for somewhere for lunch.We were so glad to find this place.Meals were good portions and very reasonable priced.Staff were very friendly and service was quick and efficient.Definitely would visit again if in the area.

Wow what a great place. Lovely food and great friendly service and staff.Menu is very extensive and the great portion sized food not only looks good it tastes good with proper size cuppas. All at very reasonable prices.

Spent a couple of days in Bowness and had breakfast here based on its reputation and other Google reviews. Disappointed if I'm honest. Latte served with milk that had gone off overnight (thought it was me but the server came back and apologised).Food didn't look up to much (English breakfast), although it did taste better than it looked.Very cold inside, but we were one of the first people of the day

Excellent meals I had Cumberland sausages eggs and chips my wife had chicken salad with chips we both had sticky toffee pudding. Yummy ?

Great service; very friendly . Only went for coffee and scone. Coffee served hot and scone delicious. Reasonably priced. The specials on the blackboard looked very tempting. Will definitely go for breakfast or lunch someday soon. Went on friend’s recommendation and were not disappointed.

We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it has always been brilliant. Over time, we have seen how “touristy” some cafes/restaurants have gotten in Bowness and thankfully, Alpine has remained true to its roots of fantastic, traditional food at reasonable prices. We will continue to go for our weekly breakfast for the next 10 years too!

Found this cafe on the morning we was leaving bowness. It was the best food we had all weekend. Will defo go again next time we visit. .Food was great and it was served by a lovely lady . Could not fault a thing. 10/10

Ordered the feta, olive and tomato salad for my lunch, trying to opt for a healthier option (husband had a panini). The lovely waiter placed it in front of me and I wish I'd have sent it back immediately. It was a plate full of iceberg lettuce with a few strands of red cabbage, topped with feta, olives and sliced tomatoes. Nothing else. My husband's side salad had grated carrot, cucumber, celery, onion and grapes, as well as the iceberg and tomatoes that I had. Considering my meal was a salad, I would have expected more actual salad items than just lettuce. Very disappointed to have paid £9.20 for a plate full of lettuce.
