“just popped in about 2 ish and just had sweet potato chips and Belgium chips.the Belgium chips were the best chips I tasted.interesting selection of vodkaschase vodka is lovely with a dash of tonic water and ice .very comfortable seats . lovely staff.only a few people in so can't really comment on atmosphere”

“While staying at North Lake Lodges, Aspatria looking for somewhere for Sunday lunch did an Internet search for somewhere within a 30 minute drive was very luck to find The Briery Bar and Restaurant. On arrival met with a warm welcome, opted to go for traditional roast beef, meal was served hot and well presented. Food potions good, and all freshly prepared vegetables. Dessert lovely. Booking required as restaurant was busy. Lucky find and thanks to all the staff.”

“Stayed here for just the one night while in the area for a live music show at nearby theatre. Paid around £55 for a twin room which included a buffet breakfast if I wanted it, so the place is really good value. The room I had (no 22) had everything you need for a short stay & it was all clean & tidy with a comfy bed so I slept well as it was all nice & quiet. Is located a close walk away to the town centre, the train station & the theatre.Would use again if in the area. Many thanks.”

“Basic no nonsense food. Filling, delicious and well priced. This is what pub food should be. The server was lovely, the burger was something else, honestly probably too much chicken if anything, well worth it.”

“What a gem we found by chance , going back to holiday home and wanted a lovely meal after been up the mountains . Beautiful pub exceptionally great service food was outstanding best we’ve been too whilst on holiday .Carla I think her name is was brilliant from the start to finish for our meal . Also the chap with glasses who had a great humour. Definitely will be back and tell friends to come Thank you”

“Fair size building. It was a cinema in a former life. Its been fitted out very nice and it still retains a lot of its former glory. It was quiet when we went in but pleasant enough. As usual with Wetherspoons Great ”
