Love this cafe. Always have small cooked breakfast which is good value. Staff friendly.

Went there today for a big breakfast and it truly was vile. The eggs overcooked, the sausage and bacon cooked as best they could do, but low cost, poor quality food, which only tasted like old oil. There was a teaspoon of tomatoes and maybe a desert spoonful of beans. There were the most foul tinned mushrooms and one anemic piece of toast. The owner/manager (unsure which) had to go buy coleslaw for one of th baked potatoes we ordered as she "forgot" to get any in. We ordered 2 baked potatoes, one with cheese and coleslaw, which had enough of both, but despite the coleslaw being freshly bought it was fizzy and bland, no real taste and soon caused indigestion. There was a mug of tea with that which had a saucer containing what can only be described as slime. The other potatoe had a few beans and a pinch of poor quality processed grated cheese. This meal cost almost £20, which would have been good or at least reasonable value if not so poor. The staff seemed pleasant enough and the tables were clean. The atmosphere was sadly quite hectic and oppressive, not though because of the staff, but a family that came in, who were brash at best. They were verbally aggressive towards each other but not once challenged by the staff.

We have called here for a bite to eat on a couple of occasions at weekends. Lovely hot Breakfast cobs and the little Cafe has a great community feel about it.

Attended after going to FCE Tailoring (next door) for a quick bite. Met by friendly staff and ordered. Decided to stay and eat in and quickly received our food. My breakfast roll was hot and perfectly cooked, extremely happy and will definitely be returning ?Parking: Struggled to find parking, extremely limited, despite large car park now closed.

Onlytake away coffees at the moment like everywhere else. But nice hot cuppa coffee...
A good quick cafe in the heart of the indoor market with quick simple and hearty food available. The only down side is the chair to table are so close, you might need to breath in.
