Booking Recommended. You get a feeling a place must be good when every table has a reserved sign on it!We got lucky and sat in the window seats, but only for an hour as these were reserved too.Unfortunately we were just too late for breakfast (you can get a Full Derbyshire breakfast all day, but neither of us eat meat) so I had the Garlic & Thyme Open Toasted Sourdough, my partner had the Homemade Quiche of the Day (three cheese and spring onion) and we shared some loaded fries.Friendly staff, good service and delicious food. While we were eating, we could hear the staff turning people away on the phone as they had no more space.Would highly recommend eating here, but book first.Next time I'm in Alfreton I'll be coming here earlier, for breakfast.

In my opinion, this cafè serves the best Full Derbyshire Breakfast in the area, containing locally sourced, high quality ingredients, which keep you full and satisfied for the rest of the day, unlike quite a few other cafés, where you sometimes find they offer lower quality breakfasts for the same price. The service is efficient and the staff are warm, friendly and helpful during every visit. The cafè itself is quaint, cosy and pretty with a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!
A lovely place to go when I needed time to ponder with a cup of coffee and a little lunch!!

Never fails to hit the spot. Great coffee food and service.Just gets better and better.Still just the same no where can beat it locally. All still applies ?

Excellent service. Reasonably priced for an upmarket cafe, however I was disappointed with the breakfast in that whilst everything was obviously fresh, well cooked and hot, the bacon was exceedingly salty and the sausages bore heavy, chewy and rather tough skins.Wheelchair accessibility: Poor, insufficient space and inaccessible via the front door
